What a great video. I'm in mid 70s and just starting to get interested in some new hobbies and I came across your tutorial on the tiny Christmas tree earrings. And then I found this video. You speak so clearly and concisely and explain things so well. They are a delight to watch. Thank you for being so generous with you information and expertise

Thanks for all the helpful info. You are prepared for everything! One idea for your hairpins is to display them on a wide ribbon or repurposed cloth belt hung vertically from a hook. That's how I organize my collection of beaded barrettes in my armoire.

Wow! Thank you, some great tips here. I usually use small organza bags for my sales, but I love the thank you bags for larger sales. Also, I have a hard time standing for a whole day, so I actually got a tall directors chair. It puts me closer to eye level, and easier to stand up from. Thank for all the links, going to go check some out.

Very helpful video. Depending on the vibe you are going for (mine is boho shabby chic like) I have found wonderful display pieces at my local antique mall. I've gotten 2 rustic benches that I stack on top of each other to create height. Also, I wanted a cool mirror and the vanity style antique type on Esty were very expensive. I was able to find a perfect table top swivel style for $30 at a vendor there at the antique store. This adds another level of interest to my booth space while keeping with the theme I'm trying to create.

I am happy to say I already do what you suggest, but my booth is somewhat more chaotic. We saw another vendor today at the market we attended that had turned a folding room screen designed to house family photos into an earring display. She replaced the squares where photos were intended with peg board, and hung her earrings on the peg board. We're going to copy her, and I told her so.. she says "go for it!" she bought one of my eyeball rings, I bought a pair of her earrings (when we gone home one had fallen apart :( )... so i fixed with with clear UV resin. My husband says, "see, your jewelry and resin skills are paying off!" lol! Sales are agismal this year. How are your sales going? I still need to design a website.
@ellieshandcraftedАй бұрын
Glad to hear you're getting some ideas! Most of what I learned came from helping my Grandma as a kid. I've copied a lot from her. ;) As far as sales go, I pivoted my business quite a bit, so it's hard to gauge how I'm doing this year compared to last year. In-person sales this year are a tad lower, but we'll see if that changes after the election.. lol. There are still people out there buying, I promise. You just need to find them and promote your jewelry to your ideal client. I highly recommend looking up Flourish and Thrive on IG or FB. They have a TON of helpful tips from selling your jewelry. :) Hope this helps you!

The wooden display racks/boards that your husband made, would you share how that was done. Maybe a tutorial from him. Lol

LOL. He said no, but it's just a rectangle board with another square strip that is nail and glued to the back. If that makes sense. You're welcome to send me a message if you would like more info! facebook.com/ellieshandcraftedjewelry

Hello Ellie, thanks so much for this great video! I am completely NEW to pendant making & wire weaving. I love doing both. Only done 3 wire weaves. I wish you could see them. I think they are pretty good, for being so new. MY QUESTION IS: you mentioned, "taking your stones", how to you display them? I have a quart of so stones given to me! Oh & why are most of the stones NOT drilled all the way through & only drilled a little on both ends. My purchased tutorials show the stones drilled all the way through them??? Thanks so much
@ellieshandcraftedАй бұрын
I'm glad the video was helpful! As far as gemstones go, I just have a little compartment box that I bought from the Dollar Tree. But you can also get these types of boxes as well if you'd like to have a better display: amzn.to/3NLQy1q. I'm not sure about your stones and why they are not drilled all the way through. Sometimes you can use a bead reamer to help complete the hole, but you do need to be careful when you use them as some stones do fracture easily. Hope that helps!

Thank you for a great video. One thing I do battle with, which you probably wondering why!!, I have trouble deciding, should your jewellery pieces at the Market or Craft show, be the same price as to what you are selling on your website?. And also, the pieces you have at the market/craft show is exactly what you have on your website or do you add a few extra pieces that is not on your website or vis-versa. Hope that makes sense!! I’m just struggling with working out if website and market stock, is the same and the price should be the same. I would be grateful to get your insight to it.
@ellieshandcrafted17 күн бұрын
I totally get it! I don't think that there's a wrong answer. You can charge a little less in person if you charge for shipping in your online price. You can even deduct for packaging if you'd like. But sometimes it's simpler just to leave the prices alone. Think about it, you'll be sitting at the show selling. your pieces rather than your website, so it can help cover that cost as well! For stocking, I usually have everything there, whether or not it's on the website. When I was selling online more, I used Square that was synced with my Etsy inventory, so it would remove them off the website after the purchase. My Shopify store does the same thing. So I would just check to see what's offered through the website that you're using and see if there's some way of keeping track of your inventory with a POS system. :) Hope that helps!
@cheriea.619517 күн бұрын
@ thank you so much. I use Shopify, I also have an eBay store as well as Market stalls. I do use square reader for the market stall. I should look into syncing the reader with my website for the inventory.
@ellieshandcrafted14 күн бұрын
@@cheriea.6195 That would be a great idea. I ended up buying my POS card reader from Shopify. I think the basic one that connects to your phone is about $50 or so.

@ellieshandcraftedАй бұрын
I totally agree! I don't mean to let them play with your pieces, but there has been a time or two where I turned my back for a second to help someone and a little plays with my pieces. It's only happened once or twice since I've started doing shows, but that's why I bring stickers with me now. LOL. Let them pick out a sticker while their parent looks at the pieces. It keeps them entertained for a moment while Mom or Dad gets to peruse the table. :)
