Actually your mod has me thinking of another (but smaller) blade I have with weak hollow scales, pondering whether a bearing could be tacked on as part of a more solid re-handle job. But that webtex-pig would surely make a better, larger and more solid platform. If you already have footage of the build then it'd be worth the sharing and watching.
