i used protonVPN and it works fine on pc, i set the settings exactly like u did on network settings, the only problem is connecting the ps4 to the lan connection, after selecting do no use proxy server it shows dns error nw-31250-1 and fails

If i have a slow and old laptop will it make my ps5 slow? Or say if my home internet is 100mbps will i still be getting that much on my console?

Does the Ethernet cable have to stay in the PlayStation to the pc even after doing the full connection or can I unplug it and still be connected to vpn?

I have a question? Just It's not totally clear to me but is your ps4 bloking the ps network and how is it blocking it? The auto update (manual dns) or it isn't when your connected through vpn? I'm on a manual Internet connection (dns) setup right now checked all the boxes off of autoupdates, and when I bought it the dude ran that disable update payload allegedly I didn't run it onece. Using the internet just to run the payload then unpluging the Ethernet cable. Am I being to careful?
