Getting the ads quality ranking high enough. You can put well-written text into the ad that doesn't seem to score with google's algorithm. There seems to be a specific way to write ad copy that this algorithm defines as ideal for google.
@jasonhebert1656 Жыл бұрын
my struggle is getting the ads to actually start running. For a company that talks about proper UX/UI they're system is needlessly complex and impossible. I set up great keywords, craft great copy collaborating with some incredible copywriters and set a decent budget and the ads NEVER run. 0 impressions every time. I don't understand what I"m doing wrong. I"m trying to give you money google but you won't take it!

Thank you so much - you really explained it perfectly ! A few questions : (1) Why would you select each state in the US instead of just selecting 1 country = USA ? (2) So you mentioned to avoid the “google support boxes” during the first 2 weeks of testing if you do not know what you are doing. I am planning to hire a freelancer to manage my Google ads: how can I pre-scan my freelancer to ensure that IF he does check all the “google support boxes”, he actually knows what he is doing?
@JasonAWhaling3 жыл бұрын
1) You want to be able to see which states are performing 2) Any freelancer who knows what they are doing would never check those boxes; ever. An expert would know how to manually switch the bidding in the future. Hope that helps!

Brilliant Video by the way I'm jus a bit confused about the keywords for example i have selected Locations in the first part of the campaign build over 50 towns and cities to be precise including the Town where my business is based (i'm in Uk) so when i am doing Location + Service keywords, am i just referencing the Location (where my business is based) + service (e.g Office relocation services) - Would this limit me to my location? or alternatively am i supposed to be doing Location (areas i service approx 50+ mentioned earlier) + service (e.g Office relocation services) - This would be a alot of keywords and repetition, when I see many saying 20-25 keywords per ad group is a good rule of thumb.
@JasonAWhaling3 жыл бұрын
Based upon your type of business: Location (areas i service approx 50+ mentioned earlier) + service (e.g Office relocation services) Create a campaign for each town you are targeting. Set location targeting to all 50 towns for all campaigns. Then each campaign's keywords use Town You Serve + Service. It's as repetitive as it sounds. You'll be glad you did. So even though all the campaigns will have the same 50 locations; the keywords will be different and you should learn a lot by having that level of detail.... Hope that helps with setting up your campaigns!

Hi Jason: Thanks again for the time an effort you spent on these videos. We all do appreciatte. Jason: I have followed every step on this video , but at the end I get the messagee that there is an error on CAMPAIGN CONFIGURATION, more exactly: There is not enough traffic expected. Great video! Been doing Facebook ads for awhile and now setting up my first Google ad campaign for a realtor client looking to find clients interested in buying and selling houses in his local Tucson Arizona market. Would that be an industry where "presence or interest" might actually be advantageous, since so many snowbirds from cold-weather cities often look to buy homes in that area and I'd want to target them instead of solely the folks living in Tucson?
@JasonAWhaling3 жыл бұрын
That's a tricky one. The short answer is yes. However you need to make sure that ALL your keywords contain 'Tucson' and you only use phrase and exact match. You really have to be careful to not get a bunch of unqualified buyers. So the more specific your keywords, the better when using that location setting. Good luck!

when you go to place an ad in google it typically says to you that the minimum bid is "super high", typically several dollars? Is that just a marketing gimmic they do to try and get you to set your minimum bid "higher". Like if you bid a lot lower then it say "you basically will get no traffic". But I haven't tried it yet. but I got to thinking it's probably just a marketing gimmic. so from your experience would you say that one could bid a lot lower and still get traffic?
@JasonAWhaling3 жыл бұрын
For the most part those numbers are accurate. However, you are right that you don't have to bid that much to get clicks. Often they will will show the top of first page bid; so you can try half and see where your ad places. You don't have to bid that high number they give you since you can get clicks even if your not top of the first page

Hey Jason... is there a suggested minimum and maximum number of keywords you should use for each ad? Thanks.
@JasonAWhaling4 жыл бұрын
For your ad groups you don't want more than 7 unique keywords (not including match types).... it's okay to have the same ad in multiple ad groups though; as long as your CTR is good 👍

What is the relationship between my ad budget and CPC?

Ad Budget is the total the campaign will spend per day. CPC is the amount you'll pay per click

Do I need to copy the ads again if I need to add different locations?
@JasonAWhaling4 жыл бұрын
Kind of.... What you'll want to do is copy your campaign, and then change the location targeting. That way all your settings, ad groups, and ads are the same and your just changing up the location
@stevenwatson87274 жыл бұрын
@@JasonAWhaling Ok Thanks but if you have many locations, then you need to change every instance of every location and all the text in each ad along with its keywords? What if you created 1 ad group with 1 set of location keywords and used a variable to change the location? {LOCATION:Bikes} Excellent bikes in {LOCATION}?

Hello Jason. Hope you are good. Love your video and the way you teach. have been a fan for a long time. I want to ask you something. I want to do a CPA campaign and I have been tracking conversions for a long time and am running an eCommerce site. Now, I want to understand one thing. I know CPA will only charge when there is conversion. Problem is I am tracking, page visits, Add-To-Cart, Purchase and Abandoned Cart and I understand that all this are also conversions. Now, how do I know the one google will choose as a conversion and charge me? Since for me, the only conversion I want google to choose is Purchase.
@JasonAWhaling4 жыл бұрын
Oh, that is a great question! So what you'll need to do is change your conversion classifications - you can track those but not count them as conversions. You'll need to do this from your conversions settings. You want only the final 'sale' to be counted as a conversion for the campaign. You should also be able to specificity the conversion you want to optimize for; but the first thing is what we do so Google doesn't accidentally optimize for a add to cart 🙌 Thanks for watching!
@anthonyoparaji20674 жыл бұрын
@@JasonAWhaling Thanks Jason for your reply. To be honest, I don't know how to change my conversion classification just like you mentioned. I have gone to conversion settings but couldn't see how to do that. Can you guild me? Or is there any video you have that teach how to do that? Please point me to it. Thanks again. Hey Jason. First of all, your content is super instructional and complete! Second of all...do you have any insight to Google Ads Support? I've had so many issues that I do not now how to resolve, with them. I cannot find any answers to my questions, anywhere online. There's been no GAds phone support for over a month. I've read all of the system policies and cannot figure out what I did to get my account suspended. I've sent in several appeals and keep getting the same automated responses. I have also, not received a refund and that's been over a month. :( It's great to see that so many people know how to show is how to set up an account and ads, etc. However, there doesn't seem to be any videos or content that explain, in detail, what counts as 'suspicious payment activity' or 'circumventing the system'. Are you able to explain what might trigger those particular violations? I find the documentations to be rather vague, especially when I know that I've done nothing that the documents explain. To say that I'm pretty frustrated, doesn't even come close, any more, to how I feel after all of the time and energy that I've invested in my campaigns, trying to optimize them, to finally have my account suspended. 😭
@JasonAWhaling4 жыл бұрын
Your not alone. They do this on purpose. They refuse to be specific and your right everything is vague. I've had people who never got an answer the account remained suspended. All you can do is "guess" what they don't like and try again - so my suggestion would be to try and change anything you can think of before submitting an appeal again. It's a stupid answer but it's all we have. :(
@MsSlim19624 жыл бұрын
@@JasonAWhaling Thanks for your honest response. The one that I have the hardest time with, is the 'suspicious' payment activity' . I don't now how to change anything, there. As for the 'circumventing the system' one, I think I can work with that a bit. It all happened as I was trying to 'optimize' my ads, so I'll have to try and undo what I did, I guess :D

Great information.Two things: Google has now made it mandatory that you do the beta (nightmare) ad and won't let you continue without its completion. Also they won't let you continue beyond the daily amount. It looks like they have changed things in just a few months.
