This Seth Rollins and CM Punk beef is very interesting. It’s very similar to when John Cena made comments about The Rock about 8 years ago. Cena was kind of disrespectful in his approach, but at the end of the day, he still accomplished his goal. He wanted to face The Rock at Wrestlemania. Now this feud between Punk and Seth, Punk might be better at cutting promos than Seth, but Seth has way more ammunition on Punk and could really roast the shit out of Punk and go in on him if he do it right and be very clever with his promos. He could talk about his UFC career and how he got his ass kicked in both fights, how Punk handled his exit from WWE 5 years ago. There’s so much that Seth can go off of. He even had some zingers on Punk in this interview. I know Punk says he doesn’t want to wrestle anytime soon, but the more he has these encounters with other wreslters and cutting promos, the more he’s gonna get the itch to want to go back in the ring. Seth’s character work needs a new direction; he won’t be an AJ Styles heir apparent in the ring anymore with his reconstructed left knee permanently curtailing his ultimate potential. He’s still one of the best to ever step in the ring for sure but the likes of Adam Cole are hot on his heels and when Omega arrives it will be game over for him. Seth with the white leather gear and playing heel with a couple of cronies backing him up should do him a world of good. Seth’s truly amazing and a blessing for the sport, no doubt about that.
