Asha ji has dressed up somewhat like the legendary Madam Noorjahan, whom she fondly called AAPA. ( The elder sister). And Madam loved Asha ji as much as she loved Lata ji. R.D. Burman sahab was in London for his heart treatment and Asha ji was with him. One fine day Asha ji learned that Madam Noorjahan is also visiting London. Next day, without letting Burman Sahab , Asha ji brought the Madam to his room in the hospital and surprised him and said in Hindi,” RANIYON KI RANI KO LE KAR AAI HOON.” R.D. Sahab became so emotional and told Madam Noorjahan “ DIDI MEIN AAP KO GATA SUN KAR HI MUSIC DIRECTOR BANA HOON”. In returning the sentiment. Madam Sahiba tied a RAKHI on R. D. Burman sahab wrist. R. D.B. Sahab till his death, loved and respected Madam Noorjahan. This beautiful incident happened only because of Asha ji THE RULING QUEEN OF OUR HEARTS. MAY YOU LIVE LONG OUR BEAUTIFUL LADY.
