As Angad and Kartik are returning from a rehearsal, goons come to beat up Kartik and threaten to kill him if he doesn t pay up the money to the betters he lost to. The creditors that Kartik had to pay up are waiting for him when he reaches home. He is wondering how to tell them and Naina that he has lost all the money in betting, but Kripa saves him just in time by lying. Kartik is very touched by her gesture, and apologizes for his past misbehavior. Kripa tells Angad she helped Kartik because in some ways she felt Kartik was like her.
