Project wingman was created by a bunch of fan's of ace combat they fundraised and eventually got this game out it is a love letter from ace combat fans to ace combat fans. The composer is terrific and they are currently working on an audio play which they successful fundraised. Deff chech him out.

Oh damn, I was expecting Kings, but I love King's Court a lot. There's actually no context to this one, it plays randomly during the roguelite Conquest mode. That guitar and synth combo is soooo good. Also, yeah, "Ace Combat vs Project Wingman" is a topic that comes up but the general consensus is that both are awesome games that well earn their positions next to each other at the top of arcade flight games and certainly soundtrack composition.

Fam, it's just amazing that Project Wingman could stand it's ground agains't Ace Combat 7. That's a proof of how good games can be when they have passion involved.

@@tiramin I'd go as far as saying PW has some ideas Team ACES could really "borrow", like being able to select multiple different SP weapons.

When doing my Project Wingman requests I knew for sure one of them had to be Showdown, but the second one was an insanely hard choice. I went back and forth between multiple songs and finally landed on King's Court. Project Wingman just has SO MANY good songs man. For anyone else wanting more from this games OST, I highly recommend Kings (different song from this), Coronation, Landing, Peacekeeper I and Peacekeeper II.

Thought everyone would ask for Kings, but glad they didn't because King's is too overwhelming to hear just like what's happening. King's Court is just literally "The sky is miiiine" since it's from random missions, not the campaign. Interesting fact: The campaign musics are always arrangements of leitmotifs in different ways that gives some consistency but also fits each mission very well. The non-campaing musics are just like this, completely unique, not tied to story, just you blowing everything up like a badass.

I was not expecting those strings but damn, that was a full banger and I love it. This song had everything. The guitar was sickeningly good, I'm adding this to my Steam wishlist immediatley.

Controls are pretty hard in the beginning but once you learn to master them you'll be set. Also I would recommend a controller to play with and once you got the controls down you should have some fun with the AOA limiter. Hope you get the game and enjoy it like i do

If you invert the y axis it helps the controls a lot.

@@Blanket420 It’s a breeze with a flight stick and thrust controller. I always feel like I’m in complete control of everything when I use my HOTAS compared to a console controller or keyboard and mouse. And combined with VR, hoo boy it’s one hell of an experience.
