YGO originates on manga, so, in manga there are much more limitations like Summoning Sickness on all monsters revived from GY (which was why Ra's Instant Attack is important to SS it), only set 1 Spell and Trap each per turn, only activate 1 Spell from hand each turn.

Can you imagine if Kaiba got real mad and worried as in his DSOD duel against Aigami and with some ZEXAL-type bullcrap superpower managed to draw a card he's not supposed to have at the time like Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, Critias or the Pyramid of Light, winning him the duel. Think he deservs it thou. 😅

I loved this duel and i felt that plays were very much in character. The outcome I totally expected because you know anime plot. If this did happen and Marik got Obelisk i don’t think he would even use it because he’s so focused on Ra and the whole reason he preferred using Monster Reborn was he didn’t like the slowness of the tribute summon. To bad the Legendary Dragons couldn’t be incorporated into their battle city decks.

Do you know manga? The reason Gods are never revived as main strategy is that, in manga, all monsters can't attack on the turn they're revived from GY, and all Gods abilities are also attacks, so the Gods can't do anything before being sent back. Ra can bypass that with Instant Attack. And more limitations that make the game slower like only activate 1 Spell from hand, and set 1 Spell and Trap each per turn.

narrativamente, Marik estaba por encima de Kaiba. En el manga y el anime eso lo deja claro cuando Devil's Sanctuary fracasa, era la única estrategia que se le ocurrió para hacerle counter a la habilidad de OTK de Ra. Yugi en el Manga vence a Ra porque aparentemente si Dark magician y Dark magician Girl están en el campo pueden usar Dark Burning Magic y destruir a Ra... Porque Atem está roto y ya(?

Gran duelo como siempre aunque pensé que kaiba tendría sus cartas para hacer robos locos (como la de robar hasta 5 y la caridad gracil) y hubiera sido interesante ver qué pasa si Marik no hubiera revivido 4 veces a ra xD por último me gustaría comentar sí sería posible poner diálogos como los que pones en los de ocg structures para estos duelos "paradoja" aunque admito que dudo que sea fácil inventar diálogos para estas cosas xD

Se llama "Conjuro del dolor" y tiene el siguiente efecto: "Cuando tu adversario activa una carta o efecto que fuera a infligirte daño de efecto: tu adversario recibe el daño de efecto de esa carta o efecto en tu lugar." La uso marik en su duelo cuadruple para hacerle daño a Joey, y este la utilizo gracias al saqueador de tumbas para hacer que marik perdiera primero el duelo.

Aah entiendo, esa carta se llama Sistema de clase o "Class System" Es una carta unica del anime y tiene este efecto: "Activa esta carta si el monstruo de tu oponente ataca y utiliza su efecto. Si el nivel de ese monstruo no es mayor al nivel de un monstruo que controles, niega el efecto y el ataque"

Kaiba did the mistake of using the infinite ATK of Obelisk, instead he should've used the 4000 burn and then defeat Marik. Perhaps I miss something here, but besides nice duel although Marik have won it. Besides if Kaiba used Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon that attacks 3 times instead of his Battle City stuff he would have wiped Marik on the final turn
