So glad they decided to keep this despite Nanuet being close by. This stage is definitely worthy of the Legacy Store treatment. It is great to be able to be excited about CEC again after constant disappointment.

Another couple notes: Confirmed there is no video wall at this location. It would've gone where the stage is if they weren't a legacy store. Notice they put the character murals that are usually next to the video wall are next to the stage. CEC has confirmed that the store in Canada will definitely be keeping the PTT statue after 2.0. The 2-Stage is still slated for removal.

Hicksville is the last MMBB in New York and it’s so cool there keeping it I hope I can come see this one of a kind store in my life. Also the store opened in 1993

Mark responded in Reddit about adding art back to Northridge and said “Hi guys - I think there is some confusion about what we are doing here. The only "retro" location is going to be Nanuet. The other locations are all intended to be fully remodeled, and that includes new artwork. We are working on saving more of the old artwork (as many of you suggested) but it won't be going back into the stores. Mark”

Thats interesting given that they put the older artwork back up on these walls at this location and the fact that Pineville has a literal retro museum in it now. I think his quote proves that this is a fluid situation and they still havent quite landed on a definitive plan for these stores decor.

Pretty sure Mark might have a bit of a misunderstanding. All of the artwork that was up in these videos is still up and our remodel is essentially done At this point, last thing needed to be done is the curtains, however all of the other art which we took down besides what is still up on the walls was in the storage pods behind the building, although that was all unfortunately thrown out as of a couple days ago and was not saved

Update on Huntington as the Wife and I visited there again today! 💙 The band is still looking great but they haven't fixed up Helen's mouth yet. It was also extremely busy which was a great thing to see! The Summer of Fun pass is 100% worth it. Edit: Please put the art back up at Northridge! It's so important to CEC's history

I just realized what I don’t like about the remodels in general .. the overhead lighting. I know I’m just being nostalgic .. but I think the dim lighting was much better and made the place feel more like a world of its own as a kid. I also just hate bright lighting anyways though lol

Im gonna take a educated guess and say that this store and possibly some other legacy stores wont be getting the video wall but i could be completely wrong just seems like it would make more sense to make all the legacy stores unique in their own way so that theres more competition for tourists attraction and stuff if they make every store the same with bots dancefloor and video wall it would kinda be bland and not make it as unique for people to visit these 5 stores

I often wondered, what if Chuck e Cheese ditched trying to please kids and went with a mature chuck(like the late 70s and early 80s chuck), had new animtronics, rethemed the stores into a old classic bar for teens and adults? I think Chuck e cheese would make more money pleasing the adults than trying to please a young gens that rather play PS5 than get sick from touching uncleaned arcades. Because adults need to chill at a place where they made memories from growing up and making it a mature place for those who remember the "good ol" days will help CEC from bankruptcy!
