Oh Iwas so engaged ( oh man pardon the pun lmao) where’s the reveal? I need end result closure!! Loved watching you’re technique, and sharing what you did but man I want to see the finished product!

The reason for all the faults you pointed out is because now days the average bench jeweler is under pressure from ignorant managers/bosses to meet a ridiculous daily job quota!! To meet this unreasonable deadline short-cuts are forced upon them. There is so much bad work out there as a result. But hey what can you do? Nice video btw.

You're exactly right! The jewelers I work for won't pay to employ another goldsmith so I have probably 3x the workload I should! This means I can't spend the time on each job that I'd like to

bazking Though I'm just beginning to learn engraving, I have had a job offer already. He offed $9.00 and hour and I still had to pay for my tools. I'm a long way from being what I would call a good engraver but I trace lines just fine but I laughed at him and he just couldn't understand why I did. I knew what he wanted. He would be making an investment by paying me anything but my skills would bloom quickly and then he would be getting something for almost nothing and I still would have to pay for the damned tools. I'll stay a home engraver and get less work that I can work on at my leisure and do the best work I possibly can.

Hello christian,ur videos are quite helpful. I really enjoy using my hammer piece but I don't have the control with it that you do, im using a standard hammer that hooks u to a flex, i do not like it. Do u sale the setup u have manufactured yourself or do u have a diagram of the set up so I can build my own? Thanks for any response and keep on posting these wonderful videos!!
