Carson, your uncle should patent that idea. That is a great idea and I know from listening to @LarsonFarms complain of it during fall harvest, it would be a great solve for many. Thanks for sharing this great video!

I’d love to see a video of your grain set ups, it’s neat to see how everyone’s is different!

Great video Carson! I esp. liked the music (but all of it too!) Technically, that's a "self-unloading wagon", but they have other names too....like 'green chop box', or silage or haylage wagon, also a 'bulk forage wagon' or box. Lot's of people who have cattle/dairy do feed from them too, esp. in long barns or open pens with long bunks. I've often wondered why more people don't sift out or vacuum out the bees'-wings. Great job there! Also, nice to see you driving truck! As soon as I saw you behind the wheel, I thought how rarely we see that. Then you remarked on it lol Also, now we know the #1 cause of cab corn! Nicely done. That looks like your personal touch on the combine haha Thanks again Carson!

Those fines would be a gold mine for a Darry and there bedding for caves or a nursery for potting soil. Maybe even mushroom farming🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

So, how often do you need to empty the wagon. Larson's call those things, bees wings. 👍👍

Nice harvest results, we had a drought here in Texas this year so not sure how well the crops did. It is interesting that y’all are harvesting now while here the crops have been off the fields since July and August. The good news though is that we’re now getting a lot of rain so drought broke, but unfortunately after harvest season.

Glad your yields are better than expected.Lots of farmers around here in central indiana are saying 220 bushels per acre so much better at your place. May you have continued success on the rest of your harvesting.

I really don't want to climb up there. I appreciate you climbing up the feed wagon :) Is this the organic or conventional bin setup?

This side of the road is the conventional side. The other side we have setup for organic!

If you are pulling most of the corn fines, are you getting a better price per bushel since you have less foreign material in your corn. Is there not a company that makes some equipment to remove corn fines or do you think it wouldn't be worth the expense to build/install one.
@tompreiss501011 ай бұрын
Yes, you've got a organic toilet paper gold mine😮😮😮 Just make sure that your website and call center know that the customer has to have a composting toilet otherwise the Plummer is the one with the goldmine😢😢😢

I saw 👀 a vid on the X9. They did side by side comparison on two other competitors. The X9 had the least amount of loss. They calculated that the extra cost of X9 equals out because of the loss from the competitors. So, when do you think that you will move up to a used X9? 😊
@6thGenFarmer11 ай бұрын
The X9 looks like an impressive machine, but it will probably be a while before we own one…. Hard to justify spending a million + on a single piece of equipment

I would say look at your rasp bars. Having the not optimal rasp bars in there makes a big difference as well the upper Chaffer leuvers should be removed for high yield crops
@6thGenFarmer11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip
@EvanC811 ай бұрын
@@6thGenFarmer that short upper Chaffier really blocks corn from falling down into the shoe..so it gets blown out the back of the combine with the material. When you take the side shield off and you can see the rotor it’s the small adjustable Chaffier furthest ahead that I’m talking about With high yielding corn alot of material mixed in with the corn holds up the corn from falling down into the shoe. Even alot of corn itself can block all the corn from falling down into the shoe so instead it gets blown out. removing that small upper Chaffee makes a large difference in capacity and from corn being thrown over. And I’m not sure what rasp bars you are using but different rasp bars can help alot. Those two things should greatly help your combine.

I was wondering if you were still around. Most Farming KZbinrs putting out one or two videos a week during harvest.
@6thGenFarmer11 ай бұрын
Yeah. I have just been so busy I haven’t had much time to film or edit. I’m don’t make enough money on YT to hire a full time editor like most other farmer KZbinrs do.
