That works fine for date fields but not for a field that calculates a due date from a formula. Such a field does not have a reminder option. Is there a workaround? I don't want to have to manually enter a date into a date field when I have many instances where a date is best calculated from other variables. Such a field has to be a formula field.

It's kind of stupid that you need to create a task twice to get two reminders. Google calendar allows me to set up multiple reminders for a single task. Why that isn't possible in Notion I will never know

I have notifications enabled in my android as well as enabled them in the notion app. I am still not receiving any notification nor as a pop up or email. What could be the issue ?

Hey @prajaktagosavi1639. So sorry about the delay in responding to this. I wish I had a great answer to this. Being a Mac/iPhone user, I'm much less familiar with Android's structure. There is a funny thing, though, that may be causing this and it really trips me up. Currently, Notion needs to be closed down to give you the notifications. If you have it open -- even if you have it open but not the active window -- you will not get the notification at all. Notion (incorrectly) assumes that if you are IN Notion, you are on top of all things. But Notion can be infinitely wide and deep, meaning that you could be focused on other pages or tasks and completely miss an important reminder from another section. This is my problem. I leave the Notion app running on my computer most of the time, and unless my computer is asleep, I don't get the notifications. Maybe another viewer has an idea?

The only way I can imagine this is if you create an additional column set for date + 2 weeks and then set a reminder based on that column. I am unaware of setting post-event reminders, so this is the way I'd work around it.

Hi Lucio! Reminders in Notion don't recur, but there is a workaround. When you set a reminder, it will be just for that next instance. However, instead of dismissing the reminder when it comes up, instead, just move the date out until you want to be reminded again. This is true whether the reminder is daily, weekly, or -- in this case -- each year. Maybe someday Notion will create recurring reminders, but until then, this works fine for me. Hey @kaderloop785. I don't know of any way to have reminders automatically set. My only experience has been to set them at the time you set a due date (or edit the due date to add it). It would be a great addition to have a default option so that every item could, for example, have a 1 day reminder. Sorry.

Hi @chrisgramma! Thanks for watching. I'm not sure if you're referring to group as a group of people or a group of actions. Either way reminders are connected to the calendar, and the calendar is unique for each "row" in your table. If you're talking about a group of people, if you have a people row and several people assigned, the reminder should (should) ping all the assigned people. If you were talking about a group of actions, it's not designed to work but there could be a work around, and that would be to merely have a new task, and that task is nothing more than a reminder to do all (or the listed) tasks. It doesn't directly connect but it should deliver a general reminder. I hope that helps!

Hey Fahim! Thanks for watching. Unfortunately, Notion does not have daily reminders but you can work around it. For me, if I have something I need a daily reminder for, I create a task for the day. Instead of ticking off the task as complete once I’ve been reminded, I change the due date to the next day. That way, I’m reminded again the following day, and I just repeat the process every day. Hope that helps!

Hey @GlobalSpotlight! Thanks for watching. I wish it was easier in Notion, but here is the way that I do it: On whatever database I'm using to trigger a reminder, I have a "Date" column, and then I add "Next Date" and "Days Between" column. So let's say I have an item for a weekly meeting and I want a reminder each day to do 20 sit-ups. For Name (or Item), I'd call it "Do 20 sit-ups", for Date (date property) I'd use the first date I want to do those sit-ups, for "Days Between" (number property) I would use 1, and then for Next Date (formula property), I'd use: dateAdd(prop("Date"), toNumber(prop("Days Between")), "days"). Then back on the date you've selected under "Date" column, make sure you set the reminder there. Now, you'll be reminded at the time you've requested, and you can go back to this table, replace the date in the Date column with the date in the Next Date column (at which point the Next Date column will recalculate). If you do that, the reminder will come every day. However, it does require you to go to the table and replace the value in Date. (Note that this works for weekly reminders if Days Between is 7, and a little less for Monthly reminders (you can set it for 30, but not all months are 30 days). I hope this helps!
