We are just back from a 7-day Norwegian Fjords cruise on P&O Cruises' new ship, the Iona (our first time on P&O).
This new video series aims to give you an honest review of the ship plus lots of tips and tricks that we learned (that we wish we had known beforehand!)
In our first video of this series, we'll be sharing our impressions and tips from our first day on board, including the embarkation process, a tour of our cabin, exploring the ship, and our first dinner at The Beach House restaurant.

► Who are we?
We’re Rob and James, partners in crime and life for over 14 years. With our dog, Oscar, we love travelling, exploring the world and experiencing new things.
For the past few years, we have spent a month in the winter in warmer climes but the pandemic put paid to that so we decided to explore more of our beautiful home country, the UK.
We first cruised in 2018 and loved it so much we decided to start vlogging about it.
We know there are lots of cruise channels so we aim to make our videos both entertaining and full of valuable advice and tips (that we wished we had known).

We were on iona 2nd - 9th sept,9 of us family members,6 of us it was our first ever cruise and loved every minute,we ate in pearl,opal,coral and aqua.1 night we paid to go in limelight to see matt terry,thoroughly enjoyed that.overall a great cruise and will def go on iona again,the fjords were amazing! Ty for your vlog really enjoyed it

I was on Iona's sister ship, Arvia, in March and loved it. It was my very first cruise. The two ships look identical. Am on Britannia in a few weeks doing transatlantic and will definitely book The Beach House.

Hi, helpful video thanks. When booking using the app do you have to wait until you get your cabin card to be able to log on and book restaurants?

No. You just need to be able to use the ship’s wifi

Hello guys I know you said it took about 5 minutes to go through the security bit embarkation but could you tell me what they did for embarkation what you had to show and do please 😊

Not much. Just have your embarkation details printed plus your passport and that’s it. Go to checkin desk first and get your room keys then you go through security (like in an airport) and voila, you’re ready to board!

If you are at the terminal and you book any speciality restaurant does it come off your onboard spend or do you have to pay

Some you have to pay all or some in advance (eg Epicurean) and that doesn’t come off your onboard credit. If you book onboard you can use onboard credit but you pay a little more (eg Epicurean is £24 each in advance. I believe if you book onboard it is £30).
