So you sorta touched on it in this video… do you (and most dealers) rent showcases for shows? I figured they’d be a nightmare to fly as cargo on a plane or even transport via car - one bump and the glass breaks. Is there one main person or group that rents out the showcases?

Those display cases are super nice! How much did they cost and where can you get them? I was at National Thursday and Sunday. Did not see you there unfortunately. However had a great time and picked up a bunch of cheap slabs and also found two really good value boxes one was 25 cent cards and the other was 3 for $1. Got hundreds of topps chrome rookies and 1st bowman chrome cards plus bunch of numbered cards as well. I also got a bunch of cool cheaper slabs as well. If I was a collector of anything popular I'd be bummed all the dealers/insiders get early access to all the deals on Tuesday and Wednesday but I guess that is why trade night is so popular.

It’s crazy how you have to sell thousands of dollars just to break even on the booth accommodations, food and I imagine you pay employees. I would also imagine there’s a lot of unavoidable business expenses that can be written off, but something that people who do not have a table forget to mention when they flip a card for profit is that they flew here and are staying in a hotel that’s costing them thousands

At this year’s National, around closing time Friday night I watched a dealer cover his glass display cases with black sheets before going home. Is the convention center floor protected by security guards all night from 6pm to 10am?
