Just for Microsoft stuffs right? Or would your ADFS redirect you to the login (dot) microsoft page if you were signing onto a third party app (from the right to the left on your diagram after reaching the app login button)

Depends on where your federating to. AD will direct you to wherever your login page is... OKTA is one popular IDP for that. ADFS works with it as well. it's pretty flexible.

If you take the defaults, then yes. You can filter what uses you want too.

That's not something you would do here. You can federate your domain though. If you need 3rd party, look at B2C.

You usually have to set up some sort of port forwarding from your firewall to you ADFS server and make sure that the certificates on the server are valid. Otherwise you'll likely get a bunch of errors.
