Thanks for this video! I now believe that the funny glitch that most of us have had is that we think of one app and instantly want the other app to do the same thing instead when they approach music from opposite end zones lol 😂 The name of each app tells us what it is best used for but we never read the manuals so why would we pay attention to the meanings of the names lol 😂 You said it near the end and it will hopefully not take the rest of the year to get it lol:) I admit that I have not bought Melodic Flow for this reason as I was thinking that it duplicated Scaler, Instachord, and even Strum to some degree which it never has and never will lol 😂 The next fight in an empty room is what are the differences between Instachord and Instascale lol 😂 I bought Instascale on pure sucker appeal due to loving Scaler but I don’t think that I’ve fired it up yet lol 😂😂🤯🤯💯👏🏾♥️🏆🤷🏾‍♂️

Thanks, MG! This video sold me on melodic flow 💯% however, I have a small request... Would you be able to do a comparison video on the Captain bundle and Sun Dog song studio inside studio one 4 please? I've been on the fence about the two for a while but would love to see the difference in workflow with the new workflow in Studio One 🐺🌕⚡️

Sundog is partially standalone, more like odesi. The key difference there, is the amount of scales. I think all of them do bass, chords, melody lines tho. Sundog lets you drag and trace the notes in while staying in key. I haven’t used odesi yet. In terms of Captain, until you can edit the midi...you can’t compare them just yet

This video makes perfect sense MG but what I can't understand is difference between Scaler and insta chord. They serve the the samew purpose in my mind.

Minus the strumming feature which Scaler is incorporating in the next update they're both Chord generators. However, you do have more expression with those chords with Instachord. But they seem similar. I have Scaler but not insta
@MGTheFuture
@MGTheFuture 6 жыл бұрын
Ah..scaler will analyze data and input...which makes it more utility. Also gives you more options for substituions and inversions. Scaler will allow you to make progressions from scale. Instachord...relies on simple shapes..but requires you to pre meditate the progression.
@MrEBRAD777
@MrEBRAD777 6 жыл бұрын
I see your perspective but you can put it into Bind mode and play the progression in Scaler as well similar to Insta.

Hey Brian, thats the thing, it doesn't work in Reason. Reason has an RE called AutoTheory that may be better for this task. I did a 2 hour live video about using it last week.

Of course you can print the midi from the plugins in FL studio. All you have to do is install free midi tool - like loopBe, or loopMIDI and do some routing. You can even use Ableton Push with FL Studio with PXT-General 3rd party drivers.
@MGTheFuture
@MGTheFuture 6 жыл бұрын
MrEsDwa that’s why I mentioned a 3rd party freeze tool, which makes it unbearable to use in high frequency (for me). Even more problematic in real time
@MrEsDwa
@MrEsDwa 6 жыл бұрын
Well, just try it with loopmidi. Nothing to lose :) If i wouldn't be able to print the midi data from scaler, instachord, captain, cthulhu, etc - i'd have probably change the DAW. Printing midi in real time is a pain in the ass, though. PS. GREAT channel. Love your stuff. I had the exact same work flow with melodyne/fl studio as you once had. If it wasn't for you I would never have used EZKeys the way you do, and that is huge.

@@MGTheFuture #MrEsDwa is this what you mean by print midi? found this interesting video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3fZaKqdd89kd7s Also MG have you tried Orangetree guitar libraries? Dope realistic sound. I would say wait till the summer group buy to save 60%.

I know what you mean.Which software do you get??? I now have the means to get Autotune and/or Melodyne but I don't know what the differences are. Are they complementary or too similar. I'm always looking for a video to explain it. No luck so far.
@MGTheFuture
@MGTheFuture 6 жыл бұрын
Melodyne generates midi from audio that can be modifed. Autotune is an audio effect that quantizes incoming frequency.

MG Cool. Vid. So you are on Studio 1 now? Also. "Budget Your Plugin Folder" So please do a vid on. The 10 to 15 Plugs. You could not do without!!!(We know EZKeys is your #1). I have had Ezkeys since it came out. And years ago. I tripped over. The same way you use it. Yes I have hundreds of plugs. But as a Songwriter not a producer. I tend to have a about 20 ish. That are my go to VST/VSTi. I would ask for 25 but. You would have a very long Vid. Thanks.

Yea. I have 4 DAW's right now. I will look for that Vid. I am really thinking about Omnisphere 2.5. But when is enough enough? LOL! I always have to remind myself. I do not produce, I write and it is not needed. But I still buy things like Scaler and Instachord. And I really Love those 2 plugs. Thanks again.
