Live in Michigan as well northern part I'd try hanging it vertical from peice of paracord just use a vine 1/2 or 3/4 in or whatever they normally use in the area make sure it's clean no leaves in it then have it hang down to your waist I been doing this for 5 years with amazing success in face just put one out last week pulled the card deer already hitting it. Learned it from Jeff sturgis
