Setting up my new Load Leveler -

This must be a boring video but it is very important to me since it will support my block which will be dropped into the car very soon.

lol. It's not the safest though. Just as an extra it's fine but a bolt and a nut is the ideal I would say :)

With both attachment points being lower than the center of gravity on the engine, isn’t the exhaust pipe the chain is against the only thing keeping it from suddenly flipping completely over in the air? I just bought this load leveler by the way. Thanks for the video.

Hey Lyle, no problems. I'm glad to help. You are right. If you have a single bolt holding it Then it would be bad if it breaks. I tried to get the thickest bolt and place I could workout damaging anything. My advice if work on it but so not stay under it just to be safe

Exactly, I have never seen anyone lifting engine like that! I am glad nobody was injured. The chains are longer to go to four mount points.

Where can you find the bolts to hook the lever up to the engine and transmission? Bought the same leveler to pull out an engine and transmission off of a Honda Civic.

always ACE Hardware store. Try to find anything you have there to see the size and thread so you know what to get there.

Locks are not much stronger then good zip ties in pulling force any hardware store will have threaded links that is rated from 100 to a 1000 pound and is safer or you could hook the chain up right with each chain have on each side having 2 pionts of contact. Thanks for sharing

if you are talking about the little strip on the edge along the bench then yes it is!

Wow mistake number 1. That padlock is not rated to hold a load just because its metal warning it can brake, its meant to lock not hold a heavy load.

Thanks for the demonstration, it was helpful BUT why does everyone think they need to have "music" in videos. If it was good music I might could see it but what is this NOISE you added into this video? Better to have nothing than that annoying sound. You do not need a lock or anything else on the chain, I've move trees with cranes for 40 years and some that weighed more than that entire car and the chain cannot slip out of that notch
