Hi there, just these videos. Just look at any knitmaster video, and you find a lot of videos, also under the name Studio. As to cast ons, the 321 has three methods of cast on. I would do the e-rap cast on, is the most used cast on, and with time the cast on will faster. Download the instruction manual. Would suggest not to worry to much about the ribbing attachment, it’s a bit slow by hand when do the ribbing. Do the ribbing after the main knitting, do a loose cast off and re- attach onto the machine with purl side facing you. As the to the tension unit, it has a screw on the side, open that and remove all fluff. Just test the yarn when you do samples. Avoid double knit yarn or DK, it’s not made for the machine, check the sponge bar. Yarn that is useful is the sports weight or 3.25 - 3.50 hand needle size.

Hi there forgot to mention, I do not do ribbing attachments on the 321 machine, the reason is that I like the quality by hand. As to ribbing attachments, most are the same for all machines. Look under Rose Kelly and you will find lots of attachment videos. 👍

I have three videos in the list to cast on, tension unit is easy, adjust the number and check the yarn goes smoothly. The take up spring, the long wire segment should not press down to much, as that will be too tight.

attach the clamps to the machine, but how do you rest the machine one the table, it is tilting on one side?

Hi there, should not tilt, should sit squarely with the two clamps. There are two types of clamps, a square clamp that holds the machine flat, and a second pair of clamps, this is for the ribbing attachment. The second clamps do tilt backwards slightly to allow for the ribbing attachment to pull up. Make sure your two clamps are the same when placing the machine on the table. You can knit with the tilted clamps, but would recommend the flat clamps as it helps a more even knit with the tension unit. I don’t use a ribber that much, I like doing ribbing by hand. It’s slower and takes time but it does make it look more like a hand knit.

Good evening. I recently bought an Empisal 321. Is the lC2 trolley suitable for the perforated vehicle?

Hi there, I don’t think it’s a great trolly to use. I would use the two wheel trolly, that has the high flat back. The knitting machine is long, so needs support to keep flat. The two wheel is also great for catching the train as it’s more narrow. I use some rope or tape to move around with.

My silver reed 322 have the same singer plate But I’ve been battling putting yarn in the second yarn feeder when using punch card. The second yarn doesn’t knit at all. Please put me through.

You could clean the tension Unit, the round bit has two screws on either side, carefully take the screws out, make sure you remember how the spring and screw go in. Often that needs to be cleaned out as it attracts lint. If that does not work, you could hold the second yarn by hand and just learn how to feel the tension. Nobody looks at the tension unit.

Hi there, my machine needs a service, will do in the future, it sounds like your tension could be a fault or the punch card is not working well, please get a professional to do a repair. Also check the yarns you are using. They need to be the same thickness sometimes. Use two thinner yarns to compare.

Hi ! I just received my Empisal 321 but the carriage is blocked I don’t know why… I set it up like you did but it doesn’t move. can you help me please ?

Hi there, not sure as to why it is blocked. All I can recommend is to take a old tooth brush and put some oil on the brush and clean under the carriage and make sure all the moving parts are moving. There is a long metal strip at the back, give that an oil too. The machines are old maybe is will need a deep clean. If you fix it yourself, look for a repair manual and take pictures as you repair. Be careful not to force anything, difficult to get parts. Sometimes it's in the carriage or on the knitting bed. Im still fixing my machine, just takes time and patients.

Hi there, the word thimonier could be Thimmonier the inventor, also involved with sewing machines. You get other labels for the knitting machine 321, there is the knitmaster 321 and another label Studio 321. Depending on where you are could be another brand name for the same machine.
