Can this unit be connected to the B-hyve hub via wifi?
@PicRic5 ай бұрын
I think the short answer is "Yes", Craig. I like the option of having some control using my fone. Furthermore, the extra step of the hub control option was to be avoided in my case. My fone app caters for all my B-hyve timers. There are many configurations available so do your research and speak to the B-hyve folk if you need to. It will be interesting to hear what you decide and why if you will come back and share your experience?

I have this unit. It did fail on me though after having it in storage for a year. The valve inside is stuck open. I also bought the Wi-Fi bridge. I just stuck with the Bluetooth option since purchase which for me was plenty fine. Not sure if I should open it and troubleshoot or just buy another.

If it's out of warranty it might be interesting to see the insides and maybe free the stuck valve so you can use it again.

Is it possible to have both zones water at the same time?
@PicRic7 ай бұрын
No but multiple schedules can be set with shortish intervals if that helps. There are also single port models that work with the app. I have found these Orbit timers to be usable and reliable over the years. Of course, you can always add a Y type outlet splitter and just use one outlet and schedule. Orbit support can be reached by phone at (800) 488-6156 or online at support.orbitonline.com too. Good luck with your tasks.

Have you been able to hook it up to a hub?
@PicRic2 жыл бұрын
Yes, of course, via the app. Have you?

@@PicRic - nope. I've since learned you can't do it on Android. Sigh.

@@theoneondonlyeverette Yes, you can. My phone is Android and it works perfectly well.

Maybe you should do a video showing how to sync the XD and the hub on android. I have seen posts with preople complaining that they cannot do it. I can see both the hub and the XD, but I see no way to link them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpilYaGYr6yehNU&ab_channel=neochilds

@@samwimpy2600 Eh? Apart from the specific detail in the description about how to find the product and the actual link shown in the response to John that you scrolled past to make your own (misguided) comment ... Way to go, Sam. I appreciate your support!

It's probably your speaker ... Anyway, what would you like to know that the video doesn't show you, Sam?

@@PicRic It's just personal preference in that I prefer audio w/ a video. I just purchased this product to water new zoysia plugs. Having hamstring tendon surgery next week so I will be immobilized. I gave up on the video w/ no sound, but I'll go back and watch it. I'm sure it contains most everything I need. Thank you.
