Thanks for sharing your build and set up. How did it work out? Did you notice any water built up on the bottom?

You’re welcome, it worked out great! We always get a little bit of water under the floor just from the heater melting a bit of snow or ice but that is all. Never have to worry about wet feet or anything in the hut. Thank you for watching my videos!

You’re welcome, anytime! You won’t regret it, it is nice to have a hard floor to walk on when you are in the hut. My dad did add some styrofoam board under where he sets his heater the last time we went out and it did help a good bit with not having the ice melt under the heater.

@@jessecolsonoutdoors That is a great idea. I am using an inch thick interlock EVA mat but the water still seeps up. I was thinking of putting bed slats underneath the mats so that the cold air can circulate underneath the flooring. But if that doesn't work, wood panel it is!

@johnkim8875 that was a problem we had to. My dad now uses his pads he has between the beds in his hut so his feet down have to touch the cold floor when he wakes up haha. At some point soon I am planning to build a second floor for my other resort hut and plan to try and make a video on it to show how we have built those ones also. I just used a 1/2 inch plywood with 2x4 frame on the ones we have done but have been thinking about a 2x2 frame on the next one to save a bit of weight.
