It's in '' virtual '' in your vidéo. Does that mean that you can't use the '' on strip '' gain knob for exemple ?

It shows as "virtual" because we re-created the screen capture in the DM7 offline editor so the process would be easier to follow (i.e. look better than aiming a camera at the DM7's touchscreen). We're not sure what you mean by "on strip" gain knob, but you do use the console's physical knobs to change the RMP-D8's gain, not the touchscreen. Hopefully that answers your question!

Can you control silk from the DM7?
@RupertNeveDesigns7 ай бұрын
@@bearklenda7409 The RMP-D8 doesn't have variable / switchable Silk - but the custom transformers in the RMP do have a predetermined level of Silk "baked in".

Very efficient and effective! Which Yamaha network switch is used?

We can't recall, but it was nothing especially fancy or specific! Feel free to email us if you're looking for recommendations: info@rupertneve.com

Does the Yamaha DM3-D also work to control the RMP-D8?

Yes! Native control is offered for all DM, CL, QL, and PM Series consoles.

The better design would be to have remote control and recall ability via daw plugin and NOT your own app. That way if we don't intend to own a Yamaha console we can recall the input gain settings easily by simply opening a daw session that stores the setting and not having to go into some other app. That is more tedious and can become out of control. Also if you supported other broadcast consoles such as SSL, and other brands then that would have been good. The average studio/broadcast user uses a broadcast console in conjunction with a daw. All we would like to do is load the daw session or recall from the console. Both are very easy. We dont want to open third party apps for various hardware equipment control/recall ability. Imagine having 5 to7 different hardware manufacturers that you have integrated and each requires you to open their app to recall or control the settings. That is ridiculous and that is why there has to be a standard. A one button push solution is what people want for recall ability. Please consider creating a daw plugin to both control and recall this unit. We wanted to purchase this unit for our film studio and chose not because of this reason. Take a note from WES Audio. They integrate their stuff within the daw.
