Thank you. My Waveform was picking up my webcam mic for some reason and not my audio interface with proper mic (and it was doing this on both Input 1 and Input 2, mysteriously). I updated the Focusrite Scarlett driver as you suggested and that fixed the problem.

Hello. Great video as usual. I have a question regarding the 3rd party plugins. When i use some plugins such as Vital or raum these plugins doesn't open in 100% size and there is a black space on the top and right side of the plugin window that i am unable to resize to fit exactly the plugin window. Is there any tips or hacks to solve this problem? Thank you in advance and have a nice day

I know you did a video for tracktion 7 where you run your out to the input on the audito interface and then 0 out the latency in the program. I feel like this is a MUST and SHOULD be included in this video. Is it about the same for 11 as it is for 7?

once I used asio4all in my computer, i can't see any youtube video, with the video launching this message: "Audio render error. Please restart your computer" Is it normal? or did I do something wrong?

Why is it that I got a broken recorded audio/midi? Do you have an instruction video about recording edrums using its module by USB Midi connection with Waveform and MT Drummer? Thank you.

When i record my guitar it only saves the natural input, so if i record a guitar with distortion and then change the guitar effect to record another sample, it will change the previous track, and I want to keep the sound with the effect that had when recorded. Any tips?

If you don’t have an Asio driver for your audio interface you don’t have to use ASIO or you can download Asio4all and use that. It’s a free virtual Asio driver.

Gotta love when you follow guides step by step and shit just doesn’t work. So I have this onyx producer 2-2 set up. Got my headphones plugged into it. My guitar in slot 2. I was getting sound through the headphones (as in my computer, videos played etc). Was. The guitar however was not making sound. It was receiving signal because the live bar showed me signal that correlated with my playing. I just couldn’t hear it, in spite of having the live button selected. I came here. Followed the first step and downloaded the drivers from Mackie. And just like that it doesn’t work at all. Now in waveform when I select ASIO it shows me no devices. Fml.

Hello! I have a question and i really hope you have an answer for it. I bought Midi Keyboard yesterday and it works perfectly on my PC and Ableton. What triggers me is that the sound i get is REALLY quiet. When i record something in Ableton with Grand Piano sample it sounds great on headphones, but when i play it on phone or PC speakers at Max volume it's like i played KZbin video on medium volume if you know what i mean. Is there any way to fix that. Thanks in advance!

That’s typical for some synths and instruments. You can use a limiter to get the final levels up. Put the limiter on the master track or MixBus (whatever you want to cal it). Watch the level meter on the master to see if it’s where you would like it to be and adjust the limiter as needed.

@@AudioTechTV @Audio Tech TV I did the exact thing right now but it just makes it worse for me. It did make my audio a bit louder but you can hear cracks in the background. It's like it's supposed to be quiet and you cannot change it. I really hope i will find a solution because i will lose all of the motivation i have.

@@deki1017 is there a volume control on the virtual instrument that you’re using? Another option would be to do it like you were normally doing it then export the audio. After its exported normalize it to something like -6db or higher. Have you tried other synths to see if the problem exists with all of them?

@@AudioTechTV I have my normal Yamaha Keyboard that i used for recording, but i was recording it with 3.5mm cable in Audacity because it is old for new systems and i had the same problem- it was quiet when i play it on phone and really loud on headphones. Now i bought M-Audio 88es Keyboard and play the Grand Piano on Ableton and it is same for me. Can anything from my hardware be a problem, maybe sound card or something? Just to mention, i also connected my PC to TV and i needed to set the volume to 50 to be able to play it normal.

I’m not really understanding what you want. You’re going to use audio from KZbin and make music from that? You don’t need a synthesizer to do that. You could just cut and slice clips in your software the arrange them as you like. You could also use a sampler plugin with your clips.

Guys just started setting up Waveform and started this video. I'm gonna keep trying to set it up myself but if someone can PLEASE tell me how to have the audio input to register in the sound metre??? I can finally HEAR audio from the demo songs but I can't seem to record anything. I have a Scarlett Solo Focusrite audio interface and a Arturia Mini Lab MkII MIDI keyboard. I REALLY want the keyboard to register, and I'm pretty sure I properly set up the MIDI and the Interface.

Did you download the Asio driver from Focusrite’s website for the Solo? If not, do that right away. Then in Waveform set your device type to ASIO and select your interface in the dropdown menu. Then in a Waveform project set the input to either input 1 or 2 whichever one you are recording to arm the track for recording and set your levels on the interface. You should see the meter moving when you are playing or singing.

@Audio Tech TV Yeah I'm pretty sure I downloaded all the drivers needed. Currently I only have the MIDI keyboard set up with the interface. (Only want to record MIDI so far) I've followed a ton of tutorials so I think I'm further than before. Right now my only problems are the MIDI won't convert to audio in the track list, my keyboard won't register buttons inside of the DAW when I open the plug-in inside of Waveform Free, BUT if I click the piano keys of the plug in with my mouse the sound does reach through my headphones and the main channel meter at the bottom of the screen does move as well, just not the mini meter in the track list. So I guess to sum up, how do I convert MIDI to audio and why is the keyboard not connecting INSIDE of the DAW, but works fine outside of it? The 2 plug-ins I have available to me right now are Arturia's Analog Lab 4 and V right now, and I think since they are VSTS I need a VSTI now(to convert MIDI to audio)? Sorry for being long winded I'm not used to all these terms and equipment, but I really wanna get started with music production so thank youuuu for responding so fast ♡♡

If you’re just using your sound card don’t use ASIO as the driver type. Choose windows audio.

@footballvideos9955 you can try using Asio4all. It’s a free emulated driver that should work with your soundcard. Then you can use ASIO as the driver and set it to use Asio4all as the device.
