In case anyone is wondering, the actual content from the title starts at 5:15. Before that, it's about installing an Ubuntu VM. I would just cut all of that out. Other than that, nice video. I like you tone of voice and the ease with which you explain things.

First time seeing your content, wish you all the best with your channel's growth. At 2:16 can you please clarify why you chose the specific subnet/address/gateway? Is it a static IP your internet provider has provided you? Apologize if my question would be a simple google search, but google searches sometimes tend to be unproductive for first time noobs like myself trying to understand because we end up in a rabbit hole of excess information.

@@christiandior8726 thank you for your really kind words. Definitely helps motivate me to create better content. So the subnet would be your network itself so for example 192.168.0.0/24 and then right below that was where I put in for the static IP address within that subnet. If you leave it default it will get an IP address automatically through your DHCP server. Hopefully this colorifies it a little bit better for you .Be sure to like and subscribe for more exciting content

And I just realized I forgot to answer part of your question. The reason why I chose that subnet was that was my internal network subnet. And then I chose an IP address statically from within that subnet to use for the server.

@@BlackburnInTech Thanks for the reply Bryon! So the 192.168.xx.xx addresses are all private and can just pick several by using the /24 at the end?
