How do you set up the audio levels for FM?

Can you point me to a video you probably have done that i a HF only winlink. My Ares net takes no telnet gf only how do you do this? Obviously I am very new. Thanks

Check out Episode 17 VARA HF: kzbin.infoh4HQDXmItdU Telnet is an excellent tool for learning all of the features of Winlink, Forms, etc. all of the RF modes after that add to your capabilities. Been trying to use my 705 for winlink and vara fm. but i can't get the tones out when transmitting. i have the same codec set up on VARA as well as the same ptt settings. where should i check next to resolve this?

Do I need to update my 705 to the USB-C, or can I just continue to use my Micro USB-C standard port? I've been struggling to get mine to work. 73

The micro USB works fine. The USB-C simply fit my working conditions better. I ran VARA with the micro USB for more than a year, works fine.
