How do you set up the audio levels for FM?

Been trying to use my 705 for winlink and vara fm. but i can't get the tones out when transmitting. i have the same codec set up on VARA as well as the same ptt settings. where should i check next to resolve this?

Do I need to update my 705 to the USB-C, or can I just continue to use my Micro USB-C standard port? I've been struggling to get mine to work. 73

The micro USB works fine. The USB-C simply fit my working conditions better. I ran VARA with the micro USB for more than a year, works fine.

Can you point me to a video you probably have done that i a HF only winlink. My Ares net takes no telnet gf only how do you do this? Obviously I am very new. Thanks
