I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT YOU SHOULD MATCH YOUR SWING SPEED WITH YOUR MOTION MODE SETTING WHEN DETECTING. ALSO GROUND BALANCE SLOWLY AND EVENLY WITH THE GROUND. CHEERS.

Mate ive said it before and I'll say it again. You live in a beautiful part of the world. Love seeing those layers of rocks in the cliffs, it's like looking back in time. Your sense of exploration is awesome, searching out areas and sharing them with us. Its great to see you enjoy what you do, looking forward to the next vid.

Thanks Dunky and the Rav3n, I do love this area. The layers are cool as to look at and they even have a bit of gold in them. Great to hear from you guys, I hope you are doing well in 2022🧡😀

Hi Dan, thanks for the video. Just subbed to your channel. I purchased a 4500 from Miners Den Bgo. on the weekend. Thanks for de-mystifying the settings, looking forward to playing around with it. Cheers, Alex

No worries mate and thank you for the sub. I will be getting back out there as the weather warms up and making some new videos too. The GPX 4500 is an amazing detector and still one of the best deep gold machines in my opinion. I hope you find a heap of gold mate, best of luck.

Nice one Dan, your 4500 settings are almost exactly the same as mine, works for me. Nice looking area, the old boys hydraulic sluiced huge areas around Castlemaine, especially out at Campbells Creek, there's still a lot of old pipes rusting away in the bush, woukd have been impressive to see. Cheers, Pete
@RockAndOre2 жыл бұрын
Hey Pete, thanks mate. The leftovers from the old timers sluicing is impressive and interesting for sure, It's nice that there's still remnants for us to check out. Thanks for checking the vid out mate. I just ordered a poly tap and some v mat like you suggested, should make recovery easier. Cheers mate.
@PetesGoldAdventures2 жыл бұрын
@@RockAndOre Good one, just play around with the flow and always test pan what comes off the sluice to see if any gold escapes, no gold in the pan equals right water flow, piece of cake.

thanks for the advice on settings, i recently got a 4500 from my sisters estate she passed away in 2022. ive not had the chance to use it yet due to needing new battery and power cable. this is all new to me and i want to continue her love of prospecting. i live in jeparit victoria not too far from wedderburn.
@RockAndOre10 ай бұрын
Hi mate, sorry to hear about your sister passing. The GPX 4500 is an amazing detector and one of the best for locating deep gold nuggets. I recently had to replace my battery and cable too. There is gold all across Vic and I am sure you will start finding some if you put in the hours. If you need any advice or anything at all, just let me know. Take care mate.

Yeah they are not cheap. Some of the newer models are up around the $11000 mark but this one is more like $4300. They do a great job find gold of all sizes and are specific to gold prospecting/mining. Thanks for the comment johnny SMALL pepper.
