9:16 for NVIDIA control panel i would also recommend: 1)up the contrast: +gamma "stretches" lower brightness levels, but at the coost of complressing all other brightness levels, givng the image a washed out look; +contrast "stretches" all brightness levels, thus removing said washed out look; +contrast does, however, result in brigter areas clipping into while and the image overall becoming too bright 2)reduce the brightness: -brightenss reduced the overall image brightness back to a normal level and reduced bright area clipping to an acceptable level; -brightness does, however, result in the lowest brightnesses getting darker and clipping into black, but if your contrast isn't too high, that ends up not mattering As for what values to use - i cant tell you, because, for one, i have AMD gpu and dont know how to translate Radeon Adrenaline values into NVIDIA control panel values, and, for two, the values will depend on your monitor and the lighting in your room and your preferences and goals anyway. So, take screenshots of different areas (dark area, nighttime, normally lit area, very bright area (clouds), you ADSing at something relatively bright with a red dot) and then tweak the settings untill you like how your screenshots look.

TAA off can also cause things to flicker, like barbwire, fences and powerlines going from poles bc of the pixels. so it's good to have it not on off if you get alot of flickering from certain objects

TAA, however, also causes the image to get blurred a bit when moving, so i use GPU driver anti-aliasing.

Lol love the generalisation. Can confirm it does in fact affect performance for me. It's probably more based on how much performance overhead you have due to tarkov horrid optimization (I know people stuck at 50% gpu/cpu).

Same for me with 5900x 32gb ram and 3080ti...never over 80 on lighthouse...I think it's the CPU bottle necking. I can get over 100 on some other maps

so the one of the main supposed highlights of this 0.15 update was a big optimization patch but so far its only been like no work done and they instead added FSR 3.0 however its not working (at least for me) and instead lowers FPS

no solution. when you ads using zoomed sights double rendering happens. that is to do with the way game is made and there is no fix sadly

@@simplyblazeegaming i downloaded this program called losslesscaling which solved my issues completely. its on steam I would look up a youtube video on it but all I can guess is that it uses AI to generate more frames for you. its magic 10/10 would try and it totally fixed my issue

Telling people what affects fps while having a cpu bottleneck isn’t ideal. Of course settings won’t affect fps if you aren’t gpu bound.

@@Axel_tv people trying to get more fps are likely gpu bound, as once you are cpu bound in tarkov there isn’t a lot you can do outside of upgrading cpu. The people cpu bound are still going to be at a playable frame rate unless they are using seriously old CPU’s

@@Axel_tv a 1660ti will still be gpu bound at anything around medium settings. Doesn’t mean the fps will be bad but you are hitting the ceiling of the card. But there’s also an array of gamers that aren’t on 1080p, plenty of guys play on 1440p, 3440x1440, 4k etc Even if you're CPU and GPU bound in Tarkov, lowering GPU settings can still improve FPS, but the gains will be more noticeable if you're primarily GPU bound. If the CPU is the main bottleneck, the improvement will be limited, and you might need to optimize CPU-related settings or consider a CPU upgrade for significant FPS boosts. You’ve just picked a person or setup in your mind and used that as the basis for who the video is for, which is fine. But it won’t apply to everyone watching and things you say won’t affect fps will absolutely have an effect for some people.

Can anyone tell me if I force 16x anisotropic filtering in nvidia control panel for tarkov what do I set the in game setting as on off or per texture. I play in 4k on my alien ware aw3225qf. Its a 4k 240hz monitor. I'm also using 14900kf 4090 64 GB 6200 corsair vengeance. Game does look and play very well in 4k.

3:37 after a bit of testing, i would suggest, regardless of how good your GPU is, trying FSR 3.0 on "quality" as a stand-in for anti-aliasing. Unlike Tarkov's FXAA it actually removes stair-stepping, but, unlike Tarkov's TAA, it doesn't soften/blur the image. And there isn't any noticable drop in image quality, even on a 1080p monitor.

it uses ml, which is basically slower ai. tensor cores arent true ai either, they are slow af neural chips compared to soc solutions. its both ml, but nv got the better ml.

On streets during an offline raid without any bots I get 90-100 fps. When I select as is online, my fps tanks to 40. My guess is that the problem with streets is a CPU bottleneck where there are too many places where the AI can run and take cover to as a result tanking the FPS. Tarkov seems to be a CPU intensive game when you factor in all of the AI mechanics and loot that needs to be loaded in
