Nobody should ever take a settlement unless you have a losing case. So many people settle and they don't realize that insurance companies are paying the bill. I think everyone should go to court because punishment needs to be done not just a money offer.

Lawyers/attorneys are a necessity in society... most people in general do not take this into consideration.. they form a huge part in moving things forward.

They’re not a necessity. It’s a privilege to be presented by someone who knows the law. Ignorance is no excuse!! Everyone should be familiar with the laws that’s how you become your own attorney in fact. Attorneys aren’t necessary you become a ward of the state and are considered a minor and incompetent when an attorney is involved in your case speaking on your behalf.

A lot of it depends on the state you are in. Some of them have passed immunity laws protecting businesses. Plus, you would have to prove that the infection happened at a certain place and time. The defense will remind a jury that people can spread the disease even if they have no symptoms. Kind of "everyone is guilty so no one is guilty" defense.

I agree with most of the points here, but often settlements are used for sexual harassment and abuse case only to get the victim to shut up about the horrible things being done to them.

There's a lot of discrimination going to court when filing Sue especially when they offer you a settlement when they offer the first one it's wrong that they offer such a low amount on a settlement ethnicity and age

Actually, the number of lawsuits have gone down over the years. Most of the litigation is from big companies filing against each other.

Your awesome if your in a accident and the at fault driver is in a commercial vehicle therefore commercial insurance will it make a difference as if they just had regular car insurance if so how thank you

Commercial insurance carries a minimum of 1 million in coverage and regular car insurance is usually around 25k

If a claimant values their previous time and energy, joining any class action suit is a total waste of both, in EVERY way! Call the company youself and they will work with you better than joining a group where lawyers are the only winners!
