I hear you loud and clear of your decision and your many obvious reasons (after more than a decade) to leave Canada with your young family, to settle in Indonesia. I am originally from Singapore and decided to move to Ontario, Canada more than 30 years ago with my wife and two young children who are now adults and married with their own children, my grandchildren, who are now in their early 20's. However, I failed to understand of your discreet, if you may, let me know which Province, what City in Canada you and your family lived in, and which Asian country you and your family were originally from, REASON BEING; I've known many friends who are currently unable to return to their countries of origin and who are or may planning to do the same. I, for one, will remain in Canada with my family for the good, better tomorrow and the best of Canada could offer. Good Luck! Buenas Suerte! Bon Chance!

+1 I'm curious as well to know where you lived in Canada. I live in Vancouver and whenever I miss Hong Kong, I just take a 10 minute drive to Richmond and it feels like I'm back home. English is optional too.

I love Indonesia, weather& foods are the best. Nothing can compare. But if you have children, Canada is the future… still. Future for the kids, not us. Especially if you’re Chinese Indonesia.

if what u mean about 'school', private school is already good as long you have money. after that studying abroad and bring back your experience. that's what mostly indonesian do while studying abroad.

Depends on what you mean the future is. For me, the future of children is that they are not far from Religion & the Quran, and it is impossible for me to raise children in an environment where LGBT is legal. Indonesia is still the best in Southeast Asia.
@ericg608414 күн бұрын
@@Donadoni-f3jSpare me the LGBT hate. You also sound like the Christian far right that’s about to take over the US. No difference between you folks…and both hate each other. Religion is the cause of all wars, destruction and deaths since the beginning. Rather than accepting, you rather look for separation, and point to each other as their problem. I am proud of my son who is 12, and very accepting of all type, color and religion.😮

Watched a couple of your videos and your story about leaving Canada. And as an Indonesian who has been living in Toronto for 25 years, I could relate to some of your reasons for moving back to Indo. Cost of living is sure could be the number 1 reason for most people to leave Canada especially the rent, thanks to our incapable pathetic Prime Minister and its Liberal Government. As for me, eventhough we are still contemplating on applying for Canadian Citizenship, I cannot see myself living in Indo. I wish you and your family the best for your new life in Indo!

Sorry to break your bubble, everywhere is expensive. The cost of the pandemic hit all countries. I just got back from Mexico and it was expensive, Hawaii, expensive, Seattle, expensive. I always meet people who immigrated to Canada, and tell them living in the major cities is expensive. My family immigrated here 40 years ago, and lived in a small town, made big money with a cheap mortgage. We live very comfortable, taking yearly holidays. Yet, my uncle chose to live in the expensive big city, working low paying job and rented all his life. Now, us kids are grown and educated and owning our own houses in expensive Vancouver. I own 3 condos, myself. The key word is “your children”. You will struggle when you first move here, but your kid will get the education and the quality of life you want them to have. Spare me this political BS. The Cons wouldn’t even want you in this country with their anti-immigrant backers.
