@@djebbarali8518 Other videos have the work around. Instead of disabling 3rd party access, you turn on dual authentication, and then generate a specific one time app password for the copier you're logging in with, instead of your normal gmail password.

Although I followed the instructions it also didn't work straight away for me. I have missed to enable the TLS and to (properly) turn on the third party access, so I guess it might be that you've missed to accomplish all steps just as shown

Is there the possibility to set the double sided scan function (from the machine, not from the MF Scan Utility application on the laptop) when you scan from machine to computer? Or this setting can be customised only from the MF Scan Scan Utility application? Why I am asking this is because If I scan from the machine to email, I can select the doubled sided option from the machine (not only from MF application). Waiting for your reply! Thank you so much!

With MF Scan Utility you can preset scanning from device. Unfortunately I recorded this with old model, but software is similar. Open Scan Utility and go to Settings and second tab. You can preset 4 modes for scanning from there. This is from MF410 series example, stil the old screen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d36nlYGDgr5ofrc

The PIN was offered to be set at the first power on of the device, if you have set it. Factory default admin password is 7654321

Hi, does that device actually OCR the pdfs it creates while scanning to USB, Email or SMB share? The manual by canon is more than vague about that.

You need to select OCR PDF in the file settings by default, or you can create onscreen shortcut with application library and those settings are always there when you scan
