Setup question: Why the fascination with using Ikea Alex and Ikea tops, for making a desk? Once you factor in all the cost, you are pretty much in the same territory of buying a "real" office desk instead of going DIY. Its not a knock, I'm just curious as to the benefit. I purchased a desk from Office Depot 10 years ago that is STILL rocking strong, and its in the same pricing threshold of (2) Alex, a top, and (8) table legs.

usualy setup spotlight concern viewers with limited funds, that cannot do whatever they would like to. also setup take space and space is expensive. espcially since covid having a big home with a dedicated room is complicated, when people struggle to pay 9m² (90 square feet)

So, I'm with Mike on using the closet for something other than clothes. I personally like my normal shirts folded rather than hanging. I mainly use my closet as storage for business paperwork and off season items. So, yea.... Mike's setup is my favorite.

I just wanted to include my thoughts right quick - The one in the closet. I love the idea, I did it once before though not that nice. I would mount the 2 monitors to the wall of the closet. It gets rid of the 2 stands for the monitors so it would be a little cleaner. Just my thoughts lol.

Henri's setup: how did he menage, hiding the cable from PC to TV, and even, does it go wireless? I am struggeling the same situation. I need to connect the pc, with the TV but to hide the connection cable it needs a 15 mt long hdmi cable. Is there a better system? My TV is big 65, and 4k.

8:12 honestly what’s the point of a closet? You hang up your clean clothes only to yank them off and dirty them up again. If I didn’t have the space for a setup I would use my closet as well.

I turned my office into a Gaming/Armory one side is for gaming and the rest is for gun smithing and firearm storage. I turned the walk-in closet into a walk-in gun safe with steel reinforced concrete walls and a 3-inch biometric steel door. Before anyone gets huffy over guns, I am retired U.S. Army E.O.D. and a licensed demolitionist who works with explosives for the Department of Defense.

How sure are you that that's an ElTab triple monitor mount on Henri's setup? Specs say that it should max out at 16" tall, but the top ultra wide looks much higher.

I have a bone to pick with you about the MX Master 3, It's perfectly capable to play FPS games with as it's more responsive that the old MX Master mice. I know I own the exact same one and have other gaming mice there is no need to swap out anymore as it is more than responsive enough and having an extra scroll wheel can be a huge benefit.
