Some people (me included) don’t like a bunch of rgb and have tons of plants such as cacti and house plants that give an calm outdoor feel when gaming instead of the feeling that I had with my previous setup of being cooped up inside. I agree that sometimes it can look weird but only if it’s not done correctly. I for one have my setup by a window with a bunch of plants and my record player. It’s a certain kind of aesthetic that is paired really well with bright wood/bamboo desk and accessories etc. and not the typical things you would see in a setup

My thing with flipping monitors upside down is they would have a bgr pixel layout when flipped upside down. Which makes text a bit blurry.

faux plants can provide alot and provide a similar mental health boost as live plants with less care. you lose certain purifications and things that come with real plants but makes it alot easier

​@@theonelad3028 they're real plants in my setup (Nic). Fake plants are fine, but the therapy caring for plants provides is just phenomenal. I'll always recommend real plants to anyone that has the lighting conditions to care for them.

I mean not everyone needs high end components, sometimes an r5 and 2070 super is all someone needs. And if you are going to keep your case, case fans, and cooler for multiple builds then why not get ones that you like so you don't want to buy different ones again on your next build. I mean I can see the point of not spending more on a case than your cpu, but if that results in you getting a cheaper case you don't really like and more horsepower than you need, it starts getting iffy to people. I mean the case the most but also fans, cooler, and gpu are what you see when you sit next to it all the time

I know you always to mention to flip your top display upside down to get rid of the bezel, but if its your primary display that you game on, you definitely don't want to do that. LTT just did a video on how much latency your are adding to the display by flipping it. so if your are using the top monitor to game on, flipping the display is the worst thing you can do. That being said, I love your channel, keep it up.

Great video as always Ed! Gotta say though, I disagree with all the talk about function over aesthetics. The look and feel of your setup contributes to your gaming experience just as much as the performance of your PC, which makes it more a matter of preference I think. I personally built a PC that's cheaper, but also more than good enough to run the main games I like to play. As a result I've had more money to spend on the aesthetics of my setup which I honestly feel has been more bang for my buck in terms of having fun playing games than if I were to invest in overkill specs! Just a matter of where your priorities are.

I am 2 months late to this video but here it is. A reason to not invert your monitors, especially monitors with lower PPI, is to avoid color issues that come from switching a monitor from subpixel arrangement RGB to BGR. When you flip the monitor, you flip the subpixel orientation as well. When you inverse the subpixel arrangement, text appears blurry, because Windows uses RGB subpixel arrangement for its anti aliasing. The same is true with any AA technology used in gaming. Inverting your monitor should only be done if you do not plan to read anything on the monitor or game on the monitor using any anti-aliasing.

Majid is the cleanest, thats a quality carpet mouse pad, i have one and it's so comfortable than normal ones hope you try one before judging + middle east designed things has more life and details than western ones (that are made by a printer, western ones are hanade so just perfection) so your grandma has a very good taste,

I'm gonna go with Jenthe. I know he is just a teenager, but I really love the fact that he has 3 monitors all the same size that fit together and the stretched wallpaper is to die for!! I don't get this "flip monitor" thing. If you have the bottom one in front, covering the bezel, what is the difference? I annoys me way more to see a logo upside down, than to know that there is a bezel behind the other monitor.

Mounting a monitor upside down changes its pixel layout from RGB to BGR and actually makes the text clarity worse.
