Question Ed, for setups people have using a table/countertop from Ikea with Alex Drawers, what is it that most people have used to lift the desk top above the drawers so that there is a decent gap which can be used to store or place whatever on the top of Alex drawers but under the desktop? Question @TechSource : Where can I hide my cables if I am using a UPS Backup battery (Tripp Lite SMART1500PSGLCD)? Its almost 30 lbs., so I am assuming double sided adhesive under desk would not work. I have them Velcro and zip tied to the legs and crammed into a corner now, but still they are barely visible.

Im using the IKEA uppspel desk, i really wanted the secretlab Magnus pro but it would be way to expensive since my monitor mounts would not fit. So it would basically end up costing 3 times as much. But im super happy with my uppspel desk even if i can not use all that magnet function for cable management.

Appreciate the positive messaging. We have record inflation and higher interest rates. Building high quality furniture takes a lot of equipment and experience (while wood prices are high). So, even affording the PC's and monitors is difficult enough! Anyway.... thanks for the vids!

Lloyeds set up its a good start. He needs to pick out a color theme and go with it. Theres white, black, blue , red and grey...I would go with wireless cables for the amount of table area he has. Do something with the walls and mount the speakers on the wall. That eliminates cables on the table. I cant believe you didnt say anything a bout the monitor set up. Theres just too much space between the monitors that you can see the cables going down from the top monitor. Also I would have the cuved monitor on the bottom and the other one on top, unless the bottom monitor is better for gaming. Theres so much that can be done with this... its a good start and sky is the limits for this.... keep going buddy..

IKEA made some of the best computer desks ever with the Jerker and Galant. Why they discontinued them remains an unanswered question over 10 years later. I still use my 20 year old Galant because I haven't found anything better after all these years.

I saw David's setup, which is amazing, I have 3 monitors as well, in fact, the same ASUS TUF VG27AQ (x3), but my graphic card starts making some awful noises when I'm playing things like Apex, even if I turn on a single monitor and turn off the rest. I read somewhere on Reddit that the only graphic card that is compatible with 2k res monitors is the 4070ti, but I'm not sure if I should change my monitors to a single large monitor (49") or if I should change the graphic card only and that would solve the issues. Any suggestions? P.D. Great videos! I'm a big follower!
