JUST in case someone didn't know, the reset button is usually on the back or on the bottom, and is recessed a bit, and can sometimes be found by removing the stand if the unit is on a stand. More than likely you will need a toothpick, pen tip, or some other small tool to press and hold for about 30 seconds. (Your manual should say it, but sometimes holding for 30 seconds ensures it reset, and is better than the 3 second reset in the book. Hope it helps. And thanks for the vid.

God thankyou so much, i retired my very old buffalo router but still wanted to use it as a repeater for my shed, this is the only tutorial that worked, all the other ones had me applying changes at every step and i was wondering why i kept losing access to my router.

Thanks for the comment. Also, the devices can be reset easily through the WebUI by going to: Administration -> Factory Defaults

Thanks so much for this...saved a lot of headache after a failed firmware upgrade. I do have one question regarding "optimal" settings between an AG300H and G300NH. What would be the recommended for Wireless Network Mode and Channel Width to achieve the best performance?

Thanks for the prompt reply. I've been unable to get WDS to work with anything other than the "mixed" Wireless Network Mode...which will only let me use 20 MHz. Is there a specific mode that will allow me to use 40 MHz between the two?

thank for the video, but the setup screen shown for my buffalo N300 is not the same as yours and made me difficult to follow. Can you help me on that. showing the setting with the setup screen of the latest N300.

I have a VPN from Astrill which gets installed directly through a command on the router... on which router should i install this in order to keep my bridged connection fully VPNed. Should it be my main router or my router upstairs - once again, thank you so much

This worked for me with both a WDRWZR-HP-G300NH and a WZR-HP-G450H with the G450 as WDS AP. I could not get them to stay connected at first till I switched them both on the Setup>Basic Tab under Wan Setup, Optional Settings, STP to the same setting on each. Once they were both set to the same they worked fine. For me Im using STP on. I am sure that if I had reset both to defaults first this would not have happened as default is off anyway. Fyi for those using STP.

Your setup here assumes a wireless connection between the two devices. In my setup the connection is wired. Does that change the configuration?

I have the 300N and the 300NH, I followed this tutorial step by step and it still does not work. The 300NH does not see the 300N in the client list. It sees my phone as a device but not the other router. I did a hard reset on both routers and tried again with no results. Any ideas on what I should do?

tried it and failed. I used G450H (router) and G300NH2 (repeater) after applied the G300, I couldn't find the 2nd WIFI (G300NH2 repeater) tried actived the STP. just the same. can you help me? thx

How can I access the WDS station if i forgot what ip i gave it? i dont want to reset the whole thing since i finally got it working. I have tired all the IPs the WDS AP shows me on the status menu, but none connect to the other router. Help please

Nice Video, but with the N450 saving first then applying doesn't work all that well. So if your bridge doesn't work double check your settings after applying.

I have two WZR300-HPs I have in a wds configuration that I setup using this video. What the guy doesn't show you is that after you reboot the wds station router (the repeater) you can no longer access its user interface using the 192.168.11.254. Everytime I try to access the UI in any browser on any device it keeps defaulting to the main router's ip 192.168.11.1 and not allowing me to login to the wds station. This method of setting up these routers is not good because the wds station router is prevented from assigning it's own range of ip addresses and since DHCP is disabled on it you can no longer access it. TELL US HOW TO ACCESS THE WDS STATION ONCE IT'S SET UP!

I am not sure but i think you need to change your computer ip address which should be on 192.168.11.10 or something in 11 range.
