Windows is better than mac, to answer your question. Most applications work fine with windows (just because most people use it). Apple is somewhat greedy and will charge for everything. They even managed to make it even harder for devs to make apps for their plattform. I can't tell you anything about linux, because i'm just starting out with it, but if you are just interested in wether mac or windows, i would tell you to stick to windows. Windows might have a bad image, but it is mostly due to their status as most used system, in my opinion.

I have seen other people using USB WiFi Adaptors (eg. for sniffing packets), but how can I do hacking without it? By the way, you have very cool videos!

You cannot hack wireless networks without a Wifi device that can enter monitor mode (the ability to listen to ALL packets being sent in range) ... this allows you to receive packets that arent meant for you and allows you to perform ARP cache poisoning (MITM - man in the middle) attacks.
