The poor masses that should be with Seun Kuti are with the oppressors due to lack of proper education. Sad reality of our existence and they will continue to suffer in Nigeria. This is actually mental slavery #FreeSeunKuti #WeCantContinueLikeThis

While Seun Kuti is saying the right things, he’s also following the new religion that distracts and deprives people of their time and money. That’s watching European soccer league. I heard the commentary in the seconds of the video. So Mr. Kuti, you are still finding your way

I wonder why u have a problem with nnamdi kanu and re fighting tooth and nail for one nigeria. This is literally what he has been screaming about for years.
@mysticalKins2 жыл бұрын
Because nnamdi kanu himself doesn't know the reality of the world that awaits we Igbos if at all we separate from Nigeria. Most of you ipob people don't understand the game of imperialism and global politics plus we haven't learned from the first civil war. If you evaluate how we lost that war, infact the only reason we lost was the war crime the Nigeria state did to we Igbos by cutting food supplies from entering the east that lead to starvation and death. Moral lesson: you can't build a nation that it's existence or quality of life is being determined by external nations or institutions. We keep shouting Biafra but forget we aren't sovereign/independence enough to say we can actually separate from Nigeria. Think about it, if we forcefully separate ourselves, we need to be recognised as a nation by UN and other global powers, which would definitely reject or vote against Biafra at the UN which would also results in world powers sanctioning Biafra and Biafrans not being able to trade or do business with neighboring nations or international nations or corporations. How do we then educate ourselves, build or buy infrastructures, develope the Biafra nations, trade with our currency when it isn't recognised and has no value in the foreign exchange or federal reserves. We would just be like Afghanistan or north Korea only difference is we will be worse because both countries are still recognised and registered (or have powerful allies) in foreign institution/corporations. Ojukwu (before he died) and even Wole Soyinka spoke against separations not because it's a terrible thing or they didn't believe in it, but the understood that even as separations is such a difficult task, it's even possible or easier than the future that lies ahead in developing a nation from the scratch especially for an African ethnic group like we Igbos. Secondly, European nations would do anything in their power to sabotage our development and try to recolonise Biafra because the last thing that Europe or better still the colonials want is to see and African nation or group be truly independent and get things right because that alone would end the game they play on us by waking other African nations or ethnic groups to follow our footsteps and break free from bondage. So they would us to be a symbol of hope or sovereignty. So put all these factors together then you'll know nnamdi kanu has an idea but not a plan, now we need a plan not an idea. One other reason we can't separate is because colonial powers always gain from our separations (their divide and rule strategy) also put in consideration how many millions would need to die to achieve such task when we separate and how many more would die due to sabotage then you'll realise that the blood that was spelt in 1966 would be nothing compare to what awaits us ahead. So for now, separations isn't the way forward not even when our so could Igbos elites, powerful and rich men aren't all on the same page. none of them want to start investing seriously in the east properly to even activate, accelerate an ethnic independent/sovereign economical growth.

You know a tree by it’s fruits 🤔 We got non Arabs with Arab names in the name of religion. Praising Muhammad (in essence blessing millions of men who don’t look like you) but damning their own. Religion aka the way things are done, should be from within, out (Adinkrahene). From the ground up. Should be cultural and familial. You are working against yourself taking on someone else’s way (basking in reflected glory). Sure someone else’s way could have wisdom, but no one has a monopoly on wisdom. Divinity is under YOUR feet. No one owns God. So why not find divine inspiration in yourself (you are not only an individual). To say men from far away have figured it out better than your own is ignorant, devaluing yourself. Arabs and Europeans are flourishing at our expense because we are praising their prophets and worshipping the heads of their lives.

Bros for reasons of educating the youth, you are wrong about "northern Nigeria" in the 19th century. I agree with your take on "evangelism" generally but reducing Islam to the 19th century is the worse type of "orientalism". Islam lost its power in the 16th century after the Spanish reconquest. Everything after that was happening in a world Europeans controlled. To talk about Muslim behaviour without reference to that is a mistake. You know what happened in Borno? They were Muslim too? Even Kano resisted for a while. To understand the Sokoto caliphate, think of the term "Sultan" ... It is not Arabocentric is it? Why is the Sokoto caliphate ruled by a "Sultan" not a "Caliph"? Why is it not a Sultanate? Ahaa . My point is this, to understand "Northern Nigeria" or Muslim behaviour of today, the answer is not in the Koran but in the environment that shaped the behaviour. A simple example is the new Wahhabism with roots in the Afghan war between "communism" and "liberalism" both Western ideologies. Before that Google Afghanistan and you will see it was "socialist" and very secular. These behaviours that manifest as "religious" are rooted in the same "violence" you spoke so eloquently about. The real question is, what is behind it all? Believe me, it's not religion. In Mexico, if you behead, it's called "drug violence" but in Syria, it's "terrorism". The gratuitous violence is the same. But guess who consumes it as "entertainment"? My point is, to understand the behaviour of a network, focus on the "superhub" not it's Orientalist projections in the "Middle East". The question kalakuta dey ask be this? Which northern Muslim "leaders" go school for Madras or send their children to Islamic school? Is the US, Britain, Germany or Switzerland Islamic countries? The dominant language, images, porn, trends are they in Arabic? Muslims in Nigeria are so Westernised it is pointless talking about Islam. These are mostly "Orientalists" that have no idea they are recasting Western projections of its own inner beast on the walls of the "Middle East", or more accurately, West Asia of North Africa. Bros don't fall for the "Arab mind" stereotypes.. it's not different from the violent Blackman iconic lie. Arabs, or rather the "Arabised" act the way your everyday Nigerians act, cut off your nose to spite your face. Lol 😆
