Pełen ognia koncert Seuna Kutiego poprzedziła Ceremonia rozpalenia Ognia Festiwalowego, płonącego odtąd nieprzewanie przez cały czas African Beats i ogrzewającego nasze cielesne powłoki w chłodne noce, i przy którym afrykańskie rytmy wybrzmiewały do rana podczas zabawy po zakończeniu koncertów na dużej scenie.

Seun Anikulapo Kuti urodził się na początku 1983 roku jako najmłodszy z synów Feli. Zainteresowanie muzyką Ojca wykazywał już od piątego roku życia, a w wieku dziewięciu lat zaczął otwierać koncerty Feli, śpiewając wybrane piosenki z Egypt 80 przed wyjsciem na scenę Taty Kutiego. Formalnie członkiem zespołu - jako saksofonista i perkusista - został zanim ukończył 12 lat.
Nieodrodny syn pioniera afrobeatu Feli Kuti większość swojego życia poswięcił zachowaniu i rozszerzaniu politycznej i muzycznej spuścizny ojca, który zmarł w 1997 roku. Seun, spełniając życzenia Ojca, przejął Jego płaszcz lidera i jako szef Egypt 80 i od tamtej pory prowadzi go do dziś.
A jego występy zawsze są mieszanką utworów Ojca i jego własnych.
