Seungmin is one of the most diligent members of stray kids (according to the members). He puts his best foot forward always and has chosen to go his own pace, whatever happens. I would highly advise checking out his song by series on their KZbin to get some musical snapshots into who he is and how he thinks about his music.

He was well on his way to becoming a pro baseball player when an injury (and he hinted at more being a cause for his stopping in his 2 kids room once) made him shift focus. This song/video seems to be a proper "close" acknowledging that with the help of those around him (from what I understand he includes Stay in this) he was able to follow a path to a new dream. Looking back on the past and accepting that even though he is still in love with the game, he is also happy with where he is currently. So far, I am deeply curious about something that connects this with I.N's video. In Hallucination, you see I.N digging through the drawer of an old library card catalog (yes, I am totally aging myself here, but there is no doubt that is what it was.) and in this one you see him drawing on an old (and not really used) library due date card. Felix's has potential to go there as well as the inspiration for the song is well known for it's library references. .. I am curious to see if there is a theme building .. it could be coincidence, but the years of being a library aide in school made these stick out to me.

Ohhhh very interesting perspective on this! I could see that the library could be a running theme for sure. Maybe they are writing chapters in their story's.. we will have to wait and keep an eye out when Felix drops tomorrow! What i do know is I'm having so much fun learning and understanding the more personal side of the boys! This is fun!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful reaction. This is a very personal story for him and he made himself vulnerable with this. He even said it included many personal elements that made him tear up. Not sure if you saw or heard that the other SKZ member's names and dates of births are listed on that library card Seungmin pulled out from the book. So much symbolism in that and the little baseball character cartoon that was drawn on the second library card from that same book.....at the end that card was standing against the window sill with his guitar and headphones added to the cartoon. Very beautiful voice and song.

Another comment just let me know about the names! This is why I'm so glad I have a community behind me to help me notice those kinds of things! It's really showing how even though baseball wasn't the path he could follow, he was able to move forward in life and make music his drive to become who he is today, and knowing that he has his boys behind him... AH! It's really freaking cool! Such a FEEL GOOD!

He wanted to be a baseball player but he followed another path, which was music. I found the music video interesting, it talks about choices, friendships.

the moment the mv started I just burst into tears. There's this perfect atmosphere of looking back at the choices we'd made or where life has taken us. And gratitude towards the people who stay with us through that. The moment he runs in the opposite direction from the friends he has as a baseball player, and towards music, but he isn't alone despite this new direction. There's also the inclusion of the library card, of a book named As we are written by Seungmin and you can see all the skz members have checked it out of the library. It's really beautiful, there's so much sincere emotion to it idk

Yes! I also noticed the running backward. When I was editing, I realized the inclusion of music. No matter what passion his life takes him, he has support. Right there is where someone might think that in our own personal life's, they may not have that support, but with the community of STAYS, and even this little community here.. we always have someone supporting us. 6:25 yeah so this song is mostly about the other members and stay and his journey from wanting to be a professional baseball player to giving up that dream and now being able to live his second dream, music. The other members are also mentioned in the video in tiny snippets.
