Hi Seun, please can you show us how you take care of your knotless braids for the entire month(s) you are carrying it for? Washing, spraying and cleaning it? Please i really need to know I have really coarse 4c hair and i can't really afford good/decent products so i just stick with washing and using a leave in conditioner. I'm currently saving up for Miracle shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner And can you help fellow Nigerians know the locally available products we can use for our natural hair especially for people who can't really afford to spend so much. I'd really appreciate it!

@@tenishastephenson9242 Remember most white women in USA cant do afro hair and braid .That brings up the price in USA as there's black women who cant braid too .And then ones that can are in high demand .So that brings up the price. In black country like Nigeria many black women can braid so they cant charge high prices.

Sometimes we put kerosene in a metal container with a lid, poke the top of the container to create a hole and then put a stove week(I honestly don't know what else to call it) inside the container. So the kerosene wets the week and in return when it's lit, it does the same job as the flaming cotton wool. Some people also use it instead of lanterns

imagine spending $900 on the same hairstyle?! I could neverrrr- but girl, those braids look beautiful, and they did an amazing job! I wish I could take a flight to Nigeria RIGHT NOW!

How wonderful. This was such a great example of community building, self love, and economy building for black people not just hair braiding. When we help each other, it’s always better than going to outsiders.

You are beautiful and carry a beautiful soul as well as the beautiful women/family that styled your braids. It was noble to go with these people as to the city that is flourishing in business compared to those in villages. Thank you for sharing. Absolutely lovely video. ❤

I love the culture.. everyone is very nice.. and I love your hair. Box braids in America is 250 and up.. and it all depends on the length of your hair.. and they also request that your hair be blowed out before coming. Where in Nigeria is the salon located?

You can say that again. When I moved to the US, I grumbled when I saw all the terms and conditions attached to braiding hair in the US. It was my first time learning to wash and blow dry my hair. Ultimately, I gave up because I could wash my hair but couldn't blow dry it perfectly to their taste so I always paid for the hair to be blow dried. But back home, it was not a requirement but it is okay, we can't complain. 😊

Thanks so much for this Seun, I lived my Naija experience through these vlogs. The lady at the end just shows the true Nigerian feelings of generosity out of their little. I hope this trip re-news your overall outlook and perspective. Much blessings to you. You truly made me miss home.
