Sevdaliza has honestly inspired me to start playing Piano and Keyboard. I never would have picked it up ever, as soon as I listened to her Ison album and now hearing her new album again has me speechless and totally mesmerized. She continuously blows my mind every time and I’ve never once gotten tired of any of her songs and will always be wanting to accomplish more musically because of her.

exo moon, from watching my friends who already knew (I prefer to think they ken the knowledge ) to be an artist only required being artistic. That what you did wasn't as important as doing, and doing often. Sometimes you start a same old project that you may be iffy about. But, some unformed misty idea/vague sense of awe begins in the hazey part of your thoughts and skips past neurons to pull that handle you thought was a truck airhorn but is really your art/light bulb adrenaline button. It's smoother than normal adrenaline, but is Usually able to carry you through until you've gotten it out of your system. Kept me going for 4 days - I couldn't get the back of the head and upper back to show the defeat and yet inability to stop until it's done. As soon as I knew I had it, that those few lines conveyed a Lifetime's built up emotion, I leaned back, opened the bottle of juice somebody who looked in on me must have left, and passed out on my chair for hours, till knocking woke me. Truly, the rush of emotion from conveying and transcribing pieces of yourself exactly how you wanted is better than any drug out there! Love is the only thing that is capable of making us feel that amazing.

I’m sad to say I’ve recently just discovered her and I absolutely love this style of music with her voice! It can be so sensual like in Human, and then so powerful like in this one. I immediately got chills when she started to sing “lose yourself in the dark” that whole chorus has me feeling a certain way and it frightens yet excites me at the same time. Can’t get enough of the words and the depth that she puts into her music, her art. So deep and moving💚

awesome! She is just so talented on so many levels, but it goes so very far beyond being a talented musician/vocalist. What I personally adore about Sevdalisa is she is as dark and gritty as Amy Winehouse, yet it doesn't resonate with the same downward spiralling. By no means am I suggesting Sevdalisa is pop-ish, on the contrary she seems to exist somewhere much closer to our realm of reality rather than honing in on the already terribly tarnished Hollywood halo Winehouse, Sia, Keisha and so many more seem to believe is the only sign of "making it" or having proven the worth of your craft. Thank (fill in appropriate deity here)! Sevdalisa has continued to make her music. Almost every artist seems to be forced to sell out in order to be a star in North America. Another great thing produced by the internet. The chance to be exposed to creative people from all around the world. It's a beautiful thing, yes?
