The more i listen to this interview the more I'm actually enjoying it. How nice to hear Jon with his guard down a bit and talking adult. BUT...... COULD YOU IMAGINE THIS TYPE OF FRANK CONVERSATION WITH ANY OF THE NEW KIDS BACK IN THE 80'S?

I have always loved Jon. I’ve said this before but ever since they came back together in 2008, the change in Jon was something that made me cry. In a good way. He was a completely different person in the sense that he was just having a good time being himself. Onstage I’d watch him smile/laugh and heck, he even did Step 5!. Hearing this interview makes me smile,, i am really enjoying seeing/hearing Jon being so open . I suffer from anxiety,depression ,ptsd and panic attacks so even though he’s now more comfortable in his own skin, I’m sure the anxiety never completely goes away. And for that I am so proud of how far he’s come. I truly wish him nothing but the best and hope he has a lifetime of love and happiness with Harley. Ok I’m done rambling lol

I wonder if a lot of his anxiety back then had to do with dealing with how he was feeling about his sexuality. So happy he feels much more comfortable in his skin.

MindyKay I believe that was the driving force. The anxiety and panic atacks probably were a combo of the worry about being gay and stage fright. The bigger they became the more work had to go into each performance with bigger and bigger crowds. Just too much for him. I'm glad he's happy today. You can tell he is enjoying the game and the fan.

Personally, I think he could sing but his original reason for being in the group was to be with Jordan. Then, all that pressure to be a heartthrob...I think he honestly cares about us, but also he probably did not want to ruin the group for the rest of the guys, specifically Jordan. I think the record label was probably scaring him to think he would be hated or threaten Jordan’s career...I think this is why there may have been a rift with Donnie back in the day...they say their friendship is stronger than ever now. I love that he feels so much better...I knew he wasn’t happy back then but I couldn’t figure out why. I love to see his actual personality. Makes me happy for him.

@@desertrose6670 it was like that back in the day. There we're even rumors that they want on MTV and admitted that were gay, that Jordan and Jon were gay and possibly other band members. Like I said though, they were rumors.

There were very few openly gay celebs when NKOTB was big. But I'm guessing their fans know this because most are as old as me, lol. I love Jenny. She's just playing her public character here. Donnie isn't stupid. If there weren't more to her, he wouldn't be so head over heels for her. He could easily get sex elsewhere so that's not the only reason he married her.

I loved Jenny long before they met. I loved the idea that they were dating when I heard. If he’s happy..now celebrating 4 years with Jenny, I’m happy for him. I wish them all love and happiness. All this cattiness about Jordan’s wife, Jenny...I’ve even seen fans who forget Joe is married on Twitter...is ridiculous. Fans complain Jordan and Joe are not on as much as Donnie, Danny and Jon...well if you disrespect their wives, you are disrespecting their choices not to mention their children. I remember when Jordan and Joe were online regularly and I was very surprised by what fans said to them. Be thankful that they found love and happiness...heck, I wanted to marry Jon when I was a little girl, but seeing how happy Harley makes him, is endearing to me. Unconditional love.
