ShureLock suite is the best but cost a shit ton. Standard will do the job but it's not as awesome as suite is. If you don't care about money then suite but if you do then standard

If you're only gonna chop others' songs into pieces and play them on the pad you can keep the intro version of Ableton that comes with the Launchpad.

i really dont recommend starting out with a launchpad pro, they are (obviously) the most expensive and useless really if all you want to do is cover songs, i would start with an older one such as the classic, s or mini, then, if you really enjoy it and get good at it, move up to the mk2 and pro, but really, dont start with the most high end thing out there

You don't need suite if you're only going to make launchpad covers, so standard should get the job done. Getting suite is a bit of a waste if you're only going to make launchpad covers, and I doubt you'll be using any of the additional features of suite. So I recommend just getting standard. Good luck with your launchpad covers
