I have to say I've never been more into Seven Spires. Their previous work was awesome but I've never felt as drawn to it as with this album. Symphonic metal was one of my gateways though and I have been listening to it for almost 15 years now, so I'm always thirsty for a lush, emotional draught of orchestral arrangement in a 10 minute long song 🤣 The addition of Roy Khan in This God Is Dead was the chef's kiss of chef's kisses. I can't wait to hear the whole album! These singles have all rocked my world. 🖤🖤🖤

Bought the album today and I must say that while listening to the tracks I felt like it was taking me on a journey. The guitar work in this is phenomenal and Adrienne slays the vocals. There is so much going on in this project from start to finish. I really love the way they link this CD to their prior works by playing familiar riffs that we fell in love with. This is an artistic journey that expands on their previous stuff while staying true to their sound. Great album! Can't wait to see what the do on the fourth installment.

Great review as always! I think you should review the new Brainstorm song Turn off the light, featuring Seeb from Orden Ogan. Great stuff. The video is on AFM, so I’m not sure if you’re allowed to show it, but it’s a great song.

Album of the year for me

I only discovered Seven Spires with Emerald Seas last year, but Gods of Debauchery is the album I by far most look forward to in the huge wave of new records that will be released in the next few months. The Cursed Muse is the least convincing single for me, and it still is a good song, Lightbringer I needed to warm up to, but the other three are phenomenal. I wished I could get a shirt+physical album but shipping costs to Europe are kind of killing that idea. The fact that you consider this their best album is definitely increasing my expectations for the rest of the album.

Emerald Seas in my opinion is their weakest album.

Glad that you liked the new album, although opinions of others hardly ever influence my music choices. I will definitely get this album based on the music videos they have already released from this album.
