Can i use a 3500w electric cooker on a 5000w automatic voltage stablizer

I don't think I would - the switch-on surge may damage the voltage stabilizer unit if it is not adequately protected. Do so at your own risk!

@@RadioRestoration I did so. I eventually used a 5000va century stabilizer for the 3500w infrared cooker and it worked fine. Infact I was adviced to use the stabilizer to get the best out of the cooker.

mine makes a roar when turned on is it normal because your's are silent??

I doubt that is normal. The unit does not have a fan or other part that could emit a 'roar' as far as I can recall (this unit was not mine and was returned to its owner, so I cannot check it out).

I have no idea why - sorry. I fixed this one for a friend and am not that familiar with the circuit
