Other than strapping for their headcams.. do the helmets would be of any use if they slam on the rocks at terminal velocity? Helmet or none...i'd like to do this in my next lifetime when I live somewhere near Norway.

Having a place to mount a camera is one reason skydivers and base jumpers wear helmets. Skydivers also like to wear helmets because it gives them somewhere to place an audible altimeter. But the reason why skydivers, and now BASE jumpers, began wearing helmets in the first place was for protection while landing under canopy and for collisions in free-fall with other jumpers. Back in the day guys used to wear open face motorcycle helmets, but nobody wears those anymore. Now most jumpers wear purpose built skydiver helmets or skateboarding helmets.
