I have a KDK FM-4033 220 MHz. radio. I have had a lot of problems out of this radio and it is pretty much junk at this time . I sent it back to the manufacturer one time and a friend of mine fixed it another time. I wish I had bought one of the other 220 radios available at the time.

had a 2020? i think it was. strange radio but talked and received just fine. took awhile to figure it out but found a owners manual.. got it at the Atlanta hamfest last year for $10 l sold it for $40 and it was almost new looking not a smudge or scratch on it..

Cool radio, thanks for the tip with the soap, i normally use Isopropanol which you can buy here in the form of Window Wash Liquid for cars real cheap

Nice! I just bought an Icom IC-290 (1980's 2m mobile) specifically to get to 2M SSB...should be fun at least for the Jan VHF contest. Nice old rigs!

It's not a loose wire,it's the crystal bit that's bad.
