Neutrals would be hard, but you did great. I really like the same one as you. Didn't hear any background noise, Dad is keeping busy and that is a good thing. Margreth if that is you wanting to get better you don’t need too. They were fantastic. Loved the process and will go over to Pinterest later to look at snowdrops work. Never heard any noise from your dad sewing lol, couldn’t hear any distraction at all. It’s so lovely all the time you and you dad can spend together, you are an amazing and very caring daughter. Love the process you did with these, making 5 different envelopes, then picking 3 different pieces of paper to add then putting the flower on each and the hole reinforcer and the extra bit. A great way of creating some pieces for journals without too much stress or overthinking which I tend to do when trying to do some other projects.

I love that you push yourself outside of your comfort zone. Working with layering neutrals is my Achilles heel as well, and like you, I like to push myself outside my comfort zone. You are getting better as you say BUT sweetie you weren’t ever bad it’s hard to set a limit for collaging I struggle as well as probably everyone does. So no you were not bad just used to a certain way. These envelopes are beautiful and for the upside down one you can always glue it in a journal right side up as a foldout/in. Love how happy making projects make you. ❤

Inspirational! Thank you for sharing 🥰 Colours in the inspo pictures I see as like a monochrome; B&W + aged browns. Then it's about adding/layering textures/details. I've tried the 'mono-colour' approach where I've got one colour and only add those B&W +aged browns to it with that one colour. Difficult but the creative journey is interesting and cathartic.
