I think he kinda ate, in a babygirl kinda way? if that makes sense (not saying that as an insult, just as a way to describe his demeanour). Like if he was a little less shy/didn't hold back as much he would have left no crumbs, but it was still kinda iconic. A cute slay. And I guess the "song that doesn't suit him" concept just works so much with him because he gets embarrassed easily by these types of things, so I guess carats understood the assignment by choosing that song/choreo for him? 🤣 (Also maybe it's just that Seventeen exposure for 7 years as a carat has kinda numbed me to secondhand embarrassment at this point, because I wasn't embarrassed? my embarrassment response is broken lmao) Edit: sorry for such a long reply lol

As a South African (which I'm only bringing up because the Sticky choreo was kinda inspired by/homage to Tyla and her viral choreographies, who of course makes a lot of amapiano and/or afrobeat-pop inspired/adjacent music as a South African artist herself) he wasn't too bad, especially the last part where he dropped it low near. If he leaned into it more and really owned it, it would be even better but he wasn't bad. I'm even kind of proud of him? As in, I don't think this style of dancing necessarily comes the most naturally to him (which is fine) but he still did pretty well. I can totally understand the shyness though because shaking your ass in front of thousands must be hella nerve-wracking 😂 especially as a man because sexism (Either way it's also kind of cool in my opinion to see just how far and wide this type of music and dancing has spread in the last few years as a South African kpop fan. Like if you asked me 5 years ago to try guess the future of music, homages to South African artists or African-inspired music _in kpop of all places_ probably wouldn't be on my list lol. Also, seeing Tyla and KiOf interact was pretty wholesome ngl. Just my opinion as a South African carat/kpop fan but maybe others have different perspectives, I definitely can't represent the entire area by myself).

ironically enough, Hoshi nailed "Siren" cuz it suited him the best. he even did that leg part of Shotaro properly, meanwhile most of the people tend to mess it up. boy's performance team leader for a reason, indeed. same with DK and "Guilty", he performed it almost flawlessly (and it speaks VOLUMES at least because it's the choreo of Taemin himself). i'm so sad some weirdos preferred to overlook it only because DK didn't show his real abs:( these guys don't deserve to be called Carats like frfr this year's Caratland was amazing. our boys worked very hard, i'm really proud of them❤️

actually what happened after DK's guilty is some carats were booing at him because they were expecting to see his real abs. Weird right? We know that DK is already a sensitive person, so he was disappointed at carat and sulky after that. Even the members look worried and knows that he was sad at that time. He said he work hard practicing the choreo. Those carats don't deserved those spots.

They were booing him just because of that, of course we knew that seventeen are chills group but at least they should know the boundaries between fans and artist. Booing him for his hard work clearly doesn't sits right with me, especially knowing that he gets sulky pretty easily.

The unfit songs were really fun to see, but I have to say, DK's booing situation really got to me. My sunshine was just trying to make a lighthearted joke and got booed in return. Whether it was meant as a joke or not, it came off as really insensitive. Imagine putting in extra effort on top of your crazy ass schedule, only to have your efforts downplayed like that
