Yes Fearless is the continuation of Fear and they indeed reference Joshua's first verse in Fear, then repeat the lyrics but change "I can't" (from Fear) to "I can". Obviously they also reference lots of choreo moments as well like the wrist thing you noticed

You have made my week! :D Fearless is a kind of successor to Fear, and you were right, that line Jeonghan sings is a direct reprise from Fear (although it was Joshua who sang it in Fear). I grabbed the English translation from Genius - in Fear they say "Nothing lasts forever / I can't finish it even though I know it", and then in Fearless they continue: "Nothing lasts forever / I can finish it because I can see it". Plus also the beat plus also the way they Attack you with visuals, AND then the dance? This is one of my favourite Seventeen songs. Anyway, thank you again for a brilliant reaction!

If you're skipping Japanese releases, I'd recommend checking out the unit MVs (Check in & Trauma for hip hop, Pinwheel for vocal, Highlight & Lilili Yabbay for performance, Change Up for leader unit, etc). There's so much content still out there before even getting to variety, Going Seventeen, or dance practices.
